Located around 45 mins from the new airport this resort appears to be one of the largest around sengigi.
with beautiful lush tropical gardens and a magnificient view, one could easily be attracted to lodge here.

We stayed in a 'bungalow' type room. honestly the rooms are old, not well furnished and the bathrooms being basic and not well maintained. The bedsheets amd pullow cases smells from the previous occupants sweat and odour!.
if you faild to close the door youd definitely be swarmed by mosquitos in your sleep.

Bteakfast seems to be the most awful among almost all the breakfast Ive ever had around the world. seriously.. its that bad.

if you love the gardens and view, this is a great place, otherwise look somewhere else.

This resort is located right on the beach with spacious manicured gardens with plenty of shade trees. We stayed in a seaview villa which in my opinion is worth the extra few dollars. Had a large verandah with comfy chairs overlooking the gardens to the beach. The villas are not crammed on top of each other and spread around the huge grounds.
The villas are fairly old but clean and comfortable. The only criticism I would have is that the bathroom in the one we stayed in was quite small and not a lot of space for storing things.
They provide sunbeds on the beach in an area where hawkers are not allowed to go but even the few hawkers we saw further along the beach were not aggressive. All staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. We did not notice any lack of service due to staff cutbacks as stated by another poster.
There is a lovely restaurant right on the beach with a bar that has a happy hour from 4pm. There is a live band that plays every night but the music is not too loud and it is fairly mellow. We could only hear them faintly in our room and was not enough to bother us. The restaurant is reasonably priced for a resort but there are cheaper selection of restaurants a short walk away on the main road- plenty of supermarkets etc as well.
Breakfast was a good selection of Asian and western food.
We arrived during a full moon and the beach, in the morning was very rough and not suitable for swimming however it calmed down later in the day. (great for surfers)
The grounds and proximity to beach and restaurants make this a great place to stay. Adjacent resorts (Santosa) don't have sunbeds on the beach.
If you want a relaxing holiday without the madness of Bali then this ideal

I visited in March/April 2014 and made a return visit last week. As I mooted in my last review the hotel is undergoing some change. Some of the changes are subtle for example, it is now called "Kila" Senggigi Beach Hotel. The pool attendant and towels are now much better located and closer to the pool. Other changes are not so subtle. Like the cutting of staff or deploying them into other jobs. As a result the staff cannot provide the same level of service they previously did. The staff are still very friendly and willing but cannot deliver in the very timely manner they once could. Several guests I spoke to who are regulars also noticed this change.

However, I still enjoyed my time. I loved snorkelling off the beach, loved Happy Hour and the band playing. And I intend visiting the Senggigi Beach Hotel again.

Before I visited Lombok, I had no clue on how my holiday will turn out to be. With no pre plan itinerary, we (my sister & me) just went and stayed in Kila Senggigi Beach Resort. We had a fabulous time. We had a day touring the island and the rest of our trip, we just relax and enjoy the resort. The hospitality of the resort staff is fantastic. A great place to un-stress from your busy scheduled life.

Room Tip: Garden view will be good enough.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights recently and we just didn't want to leave. Sengiggi is quite a drive from the airport but once we were there we enjoyed every moment.
We had a sea view room, which was well appointed with a lovely big balcony and comfy chairs to sit and relax and just enjoy the view. The room was plenty big enough and the bathroom was huge with a big walk in shower which had constant hot water.
The grounds of the hotel are immaculate and we found the service amazing. Every staff member we came across greeted us with a smile and a "Hello" and really seemed to want to make our stay as best as it could possibly be.
The hotel has its own bit of beach, which means you get uninterupted views of the ocean and across to Bali. When we stayed, there was always plenty of sunbeds, either round the pool, which is well landscaped or by the sea. Some of the sunbeds are under umbrellas and others under trees and thus give good protection from the fierce Lombok sun. These sunbeds are also well patrolled by the hotel staff. Several times we noted people wander up the beach from elsewhere and take a sunbed, but they were soon approached by staff who made it clear they were for hotel guests only.
There is also a handy beach bar for drinks and snacks and the staff come round at times to ask if you want a drink or some food.
The hotel has a couple of small shops for essentials and gifts and there are a few sport options available.
One of the best things was the breakfast. There was plenty of choice, cereal, fruit, hot food including omelettes made to order and fantastic American style pancakes with syrup. The pastries though were my favourite, always fresh, always scrummy + plenty of fruit juice and tea and coffee. It was quite hard to leave the breakfast room.
So all in all a great hotel for a stay in Lombok. We would definitely go again.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are great, pay the extra.

The Kila Sengiggi Beach Resort is about 14 years old and while some areas need a little work, our overall view of the resort is that it is wonderful. The grounds are absolutely immaculate, the main restaurant serves a good choice of food, the staff are absolutely delightful and the 2 for 1 happy hour down at the bar on the beach is fantastic value. We have a sea view room but if your budget doesn't meet that, we feel sure that the garden rooms would be just as nice. It's just that we like to watch the activity on the water. We would definitely stay here again. If we could afford it, and wanted to be really spoilt, we would upgrade to the Pool Villa rooms. They are absolutely beautiful and very very special.

Room Tip: a sea view on the top floor is great if you like to watch the activities on the water - local fisher...
