We stayed 11 days at Rayavadee Resort and from the very beginning we had a great impression of it. The shuttle picked us up at Krabi airport, already with a fantastic service. Once we arrived at the resort the gave us a flower bracelet, a very warm welcome and guided us to the lobby. They brought us a lovely cocktail while they arranged the check in and explained us about the facilities. So it was easy and fast. They took us and our luggage to the room, very cosy house with 2 floors and 2 toilets (they come at least twice a day to make up your room and bring fresh fruit, cookies and chocolates!)
The pay very much attention to the details, they are extremely polite and want to do their best for you all the time, no matter if its a manager, a waitress or the gardener. Every member of the staff was amazingly friendly and did a great job, every single day. So we were really satisfied with the service, you can't find this service and politeness anywhere in Europe, for sure.
The resort itself is beautiful, like lost in the jungle with a beautiful traditional decoration. The 4 restaurants are very nice and have good quality food, also varied so you won't get bored. The buffet for breakfast is not that big, but they have breakfast A la carte that's included in the price, so you will have more than enough options to choose from, both western and asian.
The gardens (you will probably come across monkeys and lizards, that makes it very special too at least for animal lovers like we are) and swimming pool are fantastic, you have access to 3 beaches at a very short walking distance and even buggy service if you don't want to walk. The SPA is very recommendable, beautiful and peaceful place with very nice treatments and again great service. The activity center is very nice if you want to do some excursions (yes, they seem expensive if you compare them to the prices you can find on the street, but remember they arrange absolutely everything for you from door to door and give you a very exclusive experience with private boats/shuttles, totally worth it). The only bad thing of this place are the mosquitos, they are fierce!! haha. The hotel has permanently mosquito spray in the room for you, but I would recommend to buy the strongest one you can find at a pharmacy before you fly to Thailand.
I could talk for ages about things we liked about this place, but it's nicer if you discover it yourself. To sum up, we have been completely spoiled at Rayavadee and treated almost like royalty. We had a great time an enjoyed chatting with members of the staff all over the resort. If you smile and treat people kindly, you can expect they will be 200% grateful and will go the extra mile for you, as they did with us. Beautiful place, lovely people, we would love to come back one day! Thank you again for everything Rayavadee team!
