Big stretch of sand with a nice view and gentle seas. Too murky to snorkel at this time of year, but otherwise great.

a very good beach.have to travel through power boat or my monkey tail boat run by power engine.Absolute good place to go and you can do snorkeling too.Use of package tour is best as you can see some other nice island also.

Railay beach is really worth visiting. So tranquil and unspoilt, great beaches. Not so busy when we went, but this was probably due to us visiting in July which is Monsoon season.

railay itself is beutiful and a great place but we felt completely ripped off by all the crap we had to go through to get there, close to 4000baht for the two of us from kamala in phuket just to get there so a sour taste in our mouths from that but it was the people that brought us down the most.
It was hard to find a smile in railay, why ?
we think it's all about the money and they have forgotten that for people to enjoy themselves you have to make an effort.
We met some great people there and found some laughs but something's not right with this place, just can't quite put my finger on it.
once you are there you are at their mercy for transport etc so take a fat wallet or a thick cheque book.

You get to the Railay by longtail boat, which brings you to the West side. We went to the east side, for the high tide, didn't even seen the send. Decided to go to the viewpoint, and then if you continue further, you get to the lagoon beach, which is beatifull, has white send, and blue sea, as promised in Thailand.
Had a great time.
