“possibly the best choice on Railay - w big oceanview pool”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

We were so happy to arrive at this, the third of the four hotels we booked with Andaman Sky in our 3-week holiday in Southern Thailand. We had just come from another Railay hotel which we didn’t like at all (AS warned us it would be awful, but my wife’s friend stayed there a couple of years ago and said it was a good place, so she chose to take her friend’s advice instead - bad move!). Now this hotel, Railay Village, was booked for us as an emergency solution by AS. Well, it is a great hotel : The views over the massive limestone towers are breathtaking, the hotel service is prompt and attentive, the place never feels crowded, and the food is quite good - which seems a rarity on Railay (the other places we tried werent anything special) Thanks a lot RV for a great stay. And thanks AS for coming to the rescue mid-hoiday

If you're lucky enough to go to Thailand Railay Bay is a must do. This resort shares a private cove with another resort and the views are breathtaking. You can snorkel, kayak, or just relax and work on your tan. The resort itself is ok too. The rooms are not super clean (ie food spills on walls) and the wifi is spotty depending on how far your room is from the front office. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety and the food is delicious. I'd stay here again.

I really love this hotel ! I have been there twice already with my parents the first Time and the second time with my father and sister. People remembered us.
The rooms are Very nice. You can chose the ones along the swimming pool (I love the ones with the balcony) or a small pool villa.
At the entrance of the hotel there is another swimming which is also nice.
Of course this hotel is not comparable to big crowded luxurious hotel but it is one of the most charmfull hotel I know. There is a special attention to the vegetation and this is also part of the magic.
The place is only accessible by boat and you avoid most of backpackers. The 15 min boat transfer is magic ans the landscape is breathtaking.
During the day there are plenty of day trips to do to the islands or you can stay on the beach, or explore, or do kayak.
I recommend the Spa. They always offer you a delicious Ginger tea and the Thai massage is great. Ask for the "old" lady who is running the Spa . She is the best professional masseur I know so far !
You can also go to the beach on the other side of Railay after going to Railay east and go through the forest. Ask the people. Some boat sell Very good food there. Try to go on mornings when there is nobody !
At the resort, The food is delicious. People know my father and me there ! We even brought a photo of the cooking team we took the first Time we went there. They have plenty of different meals, fresh juices and fresh fishes, squid, prawns... The restaurant is in front of the sea, you can almost touch the sand from your seat.
Breakfast is classic but good, buffet: fruit salad, yogurt, minute maid omelets, bread, different meals, coffee... The juices are so so, fresh juice is extra but the price is cheap...
After dinner I like to walk along the path which goes to the swimming pool, you can hear the little frogs singing, it is magic ;-)
If you want some music ans bars there are few of them close behind the resort. Also, many people have drinks on the beach, but it is not crowded and it is well organized.
The beach is clean and the Water too.
I strongly recommend this place to young couples, families, group of friends. Internet connection is sometimes bad, but trust me, you won t be disapointed !

I will go there again when I need a break with friends.

Ps: they offer you a drink during the Check in.

This was the first time to visit. The hotel was incredibly accommodating and the ambience was superb. We would definitely recommend the hotel and you most certainly will not be let down by the wonderful warm and friendly staff everywhere in the resort.

In Railay, this hotel ranks right after the fabulous Rayavadee, but unfortunately it's a very, very distant second place. The Villas are actually quite nice, but we spent one night in one with literally hundreds of mosquitos (we had to buy our own bug spray). After our request we were moved to another, at which the A/C didn't cool properly, and moved again to spend a sweltering, sleepless night at another one which the A/C didn't work either. We finally were moved to another villa with A/C and without mosquitos on the third nights.
Were we just unlucky?
Service is so-so (understaffed? GM nowhere in sight), food was bland, and the hotel needs some refurbishment. The interminable, at times smelly alleyway to East beach is in especially depressing state. But upside is, it's beachfront on West Railay and that gorgeous view, price is reasonable, private boat transfer was fast.

Room Tip: Get a jacuzzi villa, but not anywhere near 1008 (mosquito problems) and confirm first if the air con...

If heaven exists , I would like to look like this wonderfull hotel. Starting with the location, continued with the heavenly garden and pool, all is 5 star. I think is most beautifull area on this litlle place called Railey and I visited all around. Do not choose other hotel ...not worth it.
P.s. Very quiet place

We had asked our travel agent ( the crew from andaman adventures - they're pretty wellknown in Thailand ) to get us out of our comfort zone and somewhere new, to surprise us !
And boy they did – this place Railay is a wonder of nature. And it looked like we stayed at the very best resort on this little semi-island. The hotel is operated very professionally, and we’ve learned from other travellers complaints that this is quite rare in this part of Thailand ! You always feel looked after and taken care of. The staff was very nice and our room was, well, just great ! We always seem to get the best room in the house Ha! Beautiful views, quiet. Great swimming pool overlooking what may be the most dramatic bay/beach ever. We can recommend this resort and location!
