“Stunning Location”
Reviewed 27 October 2011

The drive through the sand dunes sets the scene for your arrival at this beautiful property.
Check in was quick and professional and our suite was already available at 9.30 in the morning.
The suite was exactly as I imagined.A spacious well designed lounge, large comfortable bedroom and a fantastic bathroom.
The outside area of the suite consisted of a dining table, chairs and loungers.
Only one lounger was present when we arrived but another was delivered within minutes of my request.
Service around the pool was fantastic, water, fruit smoothies and peppermint infused hand towels provided throughout the day.
The property is quite large and you do rely on the golf buggies to get around but I don't think I had to wait more than a couple of minutes for the buggy.
Breakfast was excellent with ample choice.
Food at the 3 restaurants was expensive and at times the quality wasn't always as good as it should have been considering the cost.
Service was exceptional.
To sit on the terrace every evening and watch the sunset truly was magical.
I have already booked my return trip but this time to one of the private villas and I can't wait.

Having come here in February we decided to come back for some guaranteed luxury and service - and having got free flights through airmiles and a 3 nights for 2 package through a travel agent it wasn't too expensive. We arrived late at night and were shown to our room - which yet again was superb. The bed must be the most comfortable that I have slept in and we could easily have wasted the day just sleeping. The resort wasn't busy and a nice touch since we were last there in February was the brining around of free smoothies and cold towels by the pool. The food was excellent, but unfortunately we did book our last night in the Sunhail restaurant (the posh one!) but when we turned up they had simply shut it and not let us know - they had a big group in there. Needless to say we weren't that happy, but every-one makes mistakes and I think that how the mistake is dealt with shows the true colours of a place - when our bill came for the restaurant that we ended up going to, we found out that the food was on the house - so we were happy. This really is a beautiful place and I dare say that we will be back!

Room Tip: The simplest is absolutely fine!

Went to hotel with friends for the night.
The location is spectacular.
The design outstanding.
The rooms spacious and very comfortable. We had a 2 bed villa, for 2 couples and a 3 yr old and I'd heartily commend it as it had a lovely garden with a private pool, so didn't have need to go to the quite crowded main pool.
The buffet dinner and breakfast were very good with a magnificent choice.
The service was a bit slow at times but very accommodating.

My goodness what a place! The drive through the sand dunes up to the resort was breathtaking but when you do reach it you know you've reached somewhere special!

Greeted by the valet and escorted through to reception where cold drinks are presented while you check in and then the handy little golf buggy to take you anywhere you want to in the resort. I had a deluxe room with my own little grassed area with stunning views! I suggest you watch the sunset-simply gorgeous over the deser! The rooms are immaculate and very well presented; the staff friendly and helpful.

Dinner in the buffet resaurant was lovely. Well cooked and presented and delicious! Room service breakfast was quick and beautifully served.

The pool was refreshing and very clean, poolside service for drinks, towels, meals was all excellent.

I haven't got a bad word to say about the place and would love to have had longer than a weekend there! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, luxurious getaway.

Absolutely stunning resort set in the middle of the Liwa Desert. Approximately 3 hours from Dubai International Airport and 2 hours from Abu Dabi Airport. It is well worth the drive to experience the luxury and relaxation of this resort. All the employees were friendly and very accommodating. The one bedroom villa was beautifully decorated and the private pool with cool water was so refreshing from the desert heat. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Camel trekking at sunset was fantastic! Definitely recommend this beautiful resort.

I had done a bit of research and read many reviews of this resort. All were favorable but i wanted to really judge for myself. I have been to some really fantastic places throughout my travels and this ranks in my top 3 thus far. Remarkable.

You drive for a long distance through an expanse of desert. I was intrigued that there was a bit of landscaping along the road for countless kilometers. It was reasonably impressive at how clean the desert looked.

Finally after little over 3 hours from Dubai we enter the resort. You enter through a winding road through the big irate sand dunes then come upon the gate. When you enter it is like entering an Arabic town of sorts.

The greeting is impressive. There are many smiling and friendly faces to help with the bags and vehicle. You enter the reception area and you are asked to sit in a nicely decorated sitting room to enjoy dates and a tasty drink. Service was incredible. It turns out I had arranged for a terrace room and there was a mistake and I was given a ground floor room. When I showed them the reservation they corrected the mistake and offered us a one bed room villa. Nice.

The villa is excellent and comfortable and looks out over a nice terrace and personal plunge pool of cool water. The view was excellent of the resort and desert pointing directly to the sunset.

The restaurants are excellent albeit pricey but if you cannot afford the room why are you there anyway? The breakfast buffet which came with the cost of the room was well appointed. The Suhail restaurant at the terrace level has a great view of the desert and we ate dinner outdoors and enjoyed the vista. October things start to cool down and once the sunset occurs it starts to cool nicely. With the low humidity it is very nice.

This place has a nice pool area and place to eat by the pool. All the facilities are incredibly well done and the decor is great. I cannot say enough good about this place except try it especially between October and March when the weather is ideal.

I will return "inshallah" as they say here a lot.
