Nice place to eat in Burano. The service was good enough and Paolo suggested a fine choice of dishes. Can recommend to visit

We enjoyed a day out to Burano in May. We just happened along the square and decided to take it all in. What better way than on the patio and with some good food?

We enjoyed several dishes. The bowl of mussels was to die for. The broth delicious and the size, well, it was the largest in Italy. We also enjoyed the tastiest spaghetti with a meat sauce, yummy as well and a large salad without tuna. All very good. FYI, the actual dishes for this restaurant are very modern and large and it's difficult to fit a meal on the small bistro tables outside without fear of toppling over. We did not have dessert or wine.

The cost to sit on the patio was a bit steep at 5 Euro but well worth the $$ to people watch and enjoy a warm spring day.

I must say, the service at this place was quite good compared to the service at others. The servers spoke English and the menu had English translations.

Overall, an enjoyable meal.

What's not to like?

Ok, it's a wee bit of a trek to get out to Burano but it is worth a visit - even if it's only an excuse to spend an hour out on the water getting there, having a cracking lunch and then heading back to Venice.

This is a friendly restaurant and like most of the of restaurants on Burano they serve the freshest fish, straight from the lagoon.

The fish was obviously very fresh and the prosecco was served chilled, by the litre!

Truth be told, the next time we are in Venice (and we will be back) we will make a point of heading back to the Trattoria da Primo for another leisurely lunch.

The best experience we had in Venice! The place was recommended by Pepe a very friendly person and frien of the family owned trattoria place. The mussels were to die for. The grill fish was excellent and the personal service was to stay there the whole day. When you are so far away from home this is what you want, good food, good time with good people and not spend too much people. Thank you Paulo and family and thank you Pepe. See you all back home some day I hope!

We had a pasta, grilled mix seafood and risotto , but it totally cost 30€ per person. The fish is quite nice but the shrimp is not so fresh , they recommended the seafood risotto while the taste is really plain and without any seafood inside.
