While waiting for our ferry, we ate at this place. It is the one next to the boat station. Don't let the looks of the place deceive you. I love seafood and I can tell when it's not fresh. We ordered the mixed platter with fish, squid, shrimp. It was so delicious that we ordered another serving. They make it when you order it. There were some available but the lady didn't give it to us as they're not fresh anymore. It looked fine to me, I saw her throw it away.

We ate here as we only had a short time before our ferry left. It was fresh, good value (for Venice) and extremely tasty. Burano is a must visit

This place is simply amazing!
It's definitely not the most luxurious place on earth, but the food is simple, low priced and SO good — you will never regret going here, and not to some tourist traps in a centre of the city.
Huge plate of mixed fried seafood is 11$ and it was big enough to feed two hungry girls.
If I am ever on Burano island again — it's the first place I am going to run to.

(4/9/2014) Snack shop right in front of the pier for the water taxi stop on the outlying island of Burano. One of the cheapest places to grab a bite on Burano, but serves up some fried seafood specialties. Had the Fritto Misto (calamari, sardines, head-on whole shrimp), was salty, fresh, and breaded flaky-crispy. A Calamari platter was piping hot and tender (probably higher turnover for the calamari platters over the Fritto Misto). One of our party can't eat seafood, got a sufficient Spiede of chunks of breaded and deep-fried mozzarella cheese, chicken breast, potato, and meatball; was OK not great, rather dry (probably low turnover vs. the seafood). Quick stop to refuel before getting back on the vaporetto, plenty of seating and plenty of cats for company.
