“exceptionally nice, romantic hotel”
Reviewed 30 November 2011

I felt in love with the atmosphere of this hotel, the rooms like royal apartmnets, very nice looking and expensive furniture, with a great feeling of style and design, very polite and helpful staff, very friendly management of the hotel! Convenoient spa services, ayurveda centre! A nice sea view from the balconies of the rooms!!! the only negative point is that there is a limited selection of dishes in the restaurants and no shops available nearby with a decent selection of products, and no pharmacy nearby with a proper selection of staff necessary for a pharmacy!

Room Tip: A room with sea view would be very nice!Anyhow all the rooms are very beautifuk and have a balcony w...

If you are looking for a semi-luxury hotel on shore of black sea with nice facilities like private beach, spa, outdoor indoor pools, gym, kids playground and ... to chill out and relax for a few days with your family and be far from all city life and its action this is the place for you. otherwise go for a hotel in Batumi.

After staying into hostels in both yerevan and tbilisi I really needed some luxury so I booked this hotel for 2 days through hotel dot com which I searched for Batumi in their website and Georgia Palace Hotel was one of the 3 results.

when I reached Batumi by train I found out the hotel is about 35 kilometer far from Batumi locate 3 kilometers after a small city called Kobuleti and it cost me 35 Gel (about 20$) to go there and it will costs more if you are going to this hotel from Batumi airport. As I reached hotel there was no one pick up my luggage from the taxi so I've done it myself.

I contacted hotel dot com by skype and after a lot of arguments they did not accept their misinformation. they did not even apologize for their mistake. shame.

anyhow, before I check in there was some complications with staffs so I asked for the manager who was a nice and polite lady. She apologize for what happend and that was enough for me.

So, I checked in. The room was quite big, king size bed, the room supposed to be sea view but it was partial sea view and some trees also blocked that partial view too. it was very clean, big bathroom with big bathtub. nice mini bar. sort of classic semi-luxury hotel. Wireless internet speed was very slow but wired one which was free was okay.

Later on arrival day the hotel manager sent me a bottle of wine and fruite basket with an apology letter which was a classy move.

About sleeping quality, the mattress was very uncomfortable I could feel all springs of it. so for the second night I covered it with extra blankets which was a good idea.

The food was okay. It supposed to be buffet breakfast but it wasn't and it was average. Hotel staffs some was nice and some was not.

at last I needed some Luxury so I got what I needed.
Try to get a good deal since the hotel is a little over priced for its quality specially on high season.

Room Tip: I dont think sea view and garden view rooms are different in what you can see. just the price is dif...

We stayed there for 10 days. The hotel axceeded all our expectations - outstanding service; friendly, helpful staff; delicious food; fantastic view; comfortable and pleasant ambiance; top cleanness; high security. Especially liked the private beach, which is just two steps from the hotel!
Ideal for family holiday.

Room Tip: I would recommend taking rooms with "garden view": as a result you get both beautiful gard...

Not happy at all with the service provided at GPH. Not enough parking available, had to park at the street. Beds are not comfortable at all, meals are either overcooked or undercooked, plus not enough tables for customers. Had to pay for something (Borjomi that neither I nor my husband love) that we haven't touched, but "excellent" staff members wouldn't beleive us, "Customer is not right" at this hotel. For the service they provide it is extremely overpriced hotel, I would never go there anymore and would not recommend it to anyone either.

Stayed one night in GPH on business and forgot power cord and universal adapter of my laptop in the room. When called later the same day the hotel confirmed that they had found the items and would secure them for my colleague to pick them up a week later. Next week the items had mysteriously disappeared and hotel could not give any credible explanation on what had happened. I have a feeling that $50 'Tumi' universal adapter was too tempting for a dishonest staff member...

The hotel was alright. The rooms were not that big AND THERE was no ac. The beds were not comfortable either. However, the staff was nice and they were helpful. The hotel is not that close to the center of the city either. The pool is not great or clean. However, there are many resteraunts nearby.
