I normally avoid non branded hotels like the plague as you just dont know wht you are getting but was pleasantly suprised here.
Not much to look at from the outside and in the back of beyond but ok for travelling through if you want to avoid the higher prices in Exeter.
Very friendly staff and a very reasonably priced and hot(take note premier inn)meal.
Rooms are well appointed and clean but on the small side.
Overall would definatly stay again

My wife and I stayed for four nights and found the hotel very clean. The staff were attentive. Cooked breakfast was very good. It is situated in an ideal position for using to travel out and about. We stayed in a block quite far from the roadway and so it was very quiet.

We stayed here for one night to break up a journey. Rooms were fine - comfy bed, nice shower and clean enough. Location is awful, but fine if you need to be right by the motorway. Unfortunately the rooms are not at all sound proof and during our stay there was a large group of unsupervised teenagers running around, banging doors and shouting in the corridors. Hotel staff did not seem able to do anything about this, despite complaining several times, so we got very little sleep.

It is very unusual for us to have groups of this nature staying at the hotel and I apologise for the disruption this caused you. We had booked the Exeter Court a few weeks ago , then for some strange reason we decided to check it out on Tripadivisor the day before we were due to stay !! The reviews were quite alarming and we even wondered about cancelling the booking , but luckily we didn't !! Checkin was quick and easy , and we were given all the details we needed and directed to our room , which as other people have pointed out are in single storey blocks around the perimeter of the grounds , and you can move your car to a space near the room , it is just like a Motel , but i don't see that as a disadvantage unless it is raining heavily which it was on our last morning , but a brolly from the car soon helped. Perhaps Guest Brollies in the rooms and a stand in reception would be a sensible and welcomed improvement. The site is close to the dual carriageway , with some road noise when walking around , but once in our room or communal area we never heard anything.
The room was compact , tastefully decorated , lovely and warm and spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel if i am honest , the bar and restaurant are furnished modernly , and both areas are very light and welcoming. Breakfast was very pleasant , nothing was too much trouble and whatever your requirement , it was cooked perfectly and served red hot.
We had our meal Saturday evening meal at the hotel , again we were very worried what we might get in view of the reviews we had read about the food. The menu was presented and the choice of dishes was unbelievable for a small restaurant , the dishes would certainly have put to shame many 5* establishments , we decided to go for the Saturday special , £15.95 for three courses , choosing any dish from each section ( The fillet steak did have a supplement , but that was understandable) , also the vegitarian option was cheaper. All three course were fantastic , and as worlwide travellers i can honestly say that the food was some of the nicest we have ever eaten , and the service was first class , it is a pity the restaurant did not have a few more patrons to liven the atmosphere , maybe the previous reviews had taken their toll , but any concern was totally unnecessary.
Overall our stay was excellent value for money , we could not fault anything and we would certainly return if we needed to be in the Exeter area again without hesitation....Well done Exeter Court.

Booked this hotel mainly due to cost as it looked value for money.
Greeting at reception was not that friendly, but I was soon in my room over in an annexe.
Room was small but clean and had everything I needed.
Can anyone explain why hotels mount TV's near the ceiling? Very annoying.
Bar was fine with large flat screen TV, very pleasant staff behind the bar.
Restaurant service was very attentive excellent food and good value.
Check out the next morning was poor, the receptionist was on the phone the whole time she checked me out, never said a word, no good morning, no how was your stay, no goodbye or thanks.. RUDE.
Overall a good hotel to use a stopover or a one nighter for business.

Just off the dual carriageway, which you can hear clearly from your room. Room was clean but smelt stale!! Breakfast - full English, Staff don't listen to your request & when your order finally turns up correctly, it's near enough raw!

Best thing about this Motel is the Shower, ONLY!!!

If you want a relaxing break or a nice stay, Do NOT book yourself in here!!
