“Honeymoon stay”
Reviewed 17 March 2013

We stayed here a few days after our wedding. We had hoped to go elsewhere, but I caught a chest infection, so we thought we would do this as a honeymoon in London, as we had originally planned may be a bit too much for me.
We booked the honeymoon suite, room 28 and it was lovely. We had a big spa bath and separate shower and a gorgeous four poster bed. It was so relaxing, even though 2 of the 3 days we spent there I just relaxed in our room as I felt so rubbish. The breakfasts were fantastic and the restaurant was brilliant - food superb ! The staff were all so lovely and couldn't do enough. My new husband took a liking to their sausages and the manager even wrote the address of the butchers down so we could try and buy some.
We are hoping to come in April, as we loved it so much. Highly recommended

Our experience is based purely on a one night stay, a Saturday in early February. We booked hurriedly on the phone and were dealt with very courteously. Our stay there was under sad circumstances and the proximity to the Norfolk & Norwich hospital was paramount..

We had no idea when we were going to check in but booked dinner in the restaurant for 8pm upon recommendation of family. All the staff were so understanding, helpful and kind. We only asked for a standard double I believe and with Breakfast included the charge was £105. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious room, although not huge it was within the new section & perfectly adequate for our needs as we really only needed a place to rest our heads. We appreciated the facilities for making drinks and all the small attentions to detail even in this basic room and the bed was really comfortable. A very reasonable bathroom included a few comforts; I did have to ask for an extra bath towel as one set were missing but that was rectified immediately with apologies. The restaurant was a very pleasant surprise, agreeable surroundings great menu and service..every course delicious & well presented! It exceeded our expectations without doubt. We skipped breakfast as sleep for the long drive home was a necessity so I can't comment but we did use the bar area for coffee and a family meet, all very pleasant but I would say that it lacked atmosphere .. a little bland. I only wish we could have stayed longer and used the leisure side but then that's a good reason to return and I hope we will!
So to my Bill ..for a double room B&B, 3 course dinner for two with a good Burgundy wine, the Times paper & bar bill Total £227.. impressive! I paid that just for room in the South recently so well done Park Farm this is affordable and a joy!!
Oh and I loved the imposing tree lined Drive leading up to the hotel, all lit up at night.. and with ample parking area at the front.

& I want to write about a enjoyable Mother's Day lunch, but cannot get Trip Advisor to locate this location!
So here goes anyway.
I booked a table for 4 for 12.30 a.m, and went straight to my table. A beautiful "courtesy of the house" flower and box of chocolates were there for "mother"!
Options of starters, main course and sweets were excellent and the inclusive menu at under £30 a head was real value.
Service was prompt and pleasant.
All in all, a successful family occasion.

Well what can i say ?
First class Hotel and service and not to far from Norwich for shops etc, Had the valentine stay and meal, upgraded our room to the boutiqe and was worth every penny, food was first class, staff friendly and very helpful, the pool, whirl pool, steam room etc are all worth a visit.
We had one minor discrepancy which the manager dealt with withoput any fuss what so ever and componsated us by offering us our night free of charge as his guest, Thank you for that.
All in all, me and my new fiance had a wonderfull few days and i would recommend this hotel.
Thank you for a lovely wekend .

Room Tip: upgrade to the boutiqe room if you can, open plan shower with whirl pool bath is a must for couples...

We have just arrived home after yet another dinner bed and breakfast stay at parkfarm heatherset. Up until now we have always had a very enjoyable stay with no complaints. Today that all changed. We were given a voucher as a christmas gift so phoned to make a booking. I told the girl on reception i had a voucher and how much it was for she told me the only extra charge would be for any extras we purchase during our stay. she even said she would give us an upgrade which we didnt ask for so this was a very nice surprise. A few weeks later we phoned to confirm booking as hadnt recieved an email and again checked price and what we were booked for.at this time we booked a second room for our son and girlfriend. The girl told us she would match the price of 1st room booked. We arrived and everthing was great. We checked out and paid the amount due. Then shortly after leaving recieved a phone call asking for another £100!!!! The amount we had been given in vouchers!!!! Aparently this had already been deducted from the total when i booked the first room but nobody told us or did it say so in the email we recieved after booking the second room. We thought we were paying a grand total of £100 less than what we finally had to pay. So be careful if using vouchers this is a crafty way of getting more money out of you for a room ( ie upgrade) you didnt even ask for.!!!!!! Emails are not clear.

Room Tip: Be careful if using vouchers, and know what you are definately getting for your money

Further to your review on Trip Advisor,

I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your most recent stay with us. I do apologise if when booking the rooms there was a misunderstanding of the final amount to be paid. As discussed upon check out you had a voucher for £100. Two rooms were booked which would normally have cost £150 per room inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast. The receptionist at the time of booking reduced each rooms price to £100 as you were bringing a voucher which was worth £100 ( £50.00 discount per room). As such the voucher had already been redeemed.

I can assure you that at Park Farm if we have better rooms left available on the day of arrival we will endeavour to give free upgrades to all our guests . These free upgrades are not charged to the guest, and are given to our guests to make their stays with us more enjoyable. I hope that this clarifies the situation and we do hope to welcome you back to Park Farm again soon.

Kind regards

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel & the excellent impression made a year ago has been confirmed. At the heart is the service-friendly well-trained staff who appear to enjoy helping guests and do so extremely well. The food is good, especially the breakfast. The gym & pool are an added bonus. A gem of a hotel to which I'll return.

Stayed here for two nights on business.

First class rooms and features. Leisure facilities are also top notch. The grounds will be superb in summer.

Let down slightly by breakfast and a fairly expensive restaurant.

Room Tip: Good All round hotel
