“Pleasant stay”
Reviewed 28 February 2014

It was the first time we went away with twins and had a pleasant stay. Very easy to book and staff over phone has been very helpful. Upon arrival, we were able to find a place to park very easily. Check in was smoother than I anticipated and quick too. Staff at reception desk very helpful. We stayed at one of the Chamber Unique and worth the penny. With our own patio and they have put a cot into the spacious room, still have plenty of room to move around. As we have fairly young children, we had room service in the evening and breakfast in the main restaurant. Staff were extremely helpful in the restaurants and bring us our starter and main, once we finished, we called them for them to bring desert and coffee - to ensure they are fresh. Thoughtful touch. It was a very busy weekend and we were looked after well. Staff at the leisure facilities were also very kind. We took the twins to swim for the first time, pool allow small inflatable for young children. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Go for chambre unique, modern décor and big bed. We had room 345, easy access to everything. The pla...

I was concerned as a lone business visitor that I would be the only one in the hotel reading my book in the restaurant but no, there were many of us! having said that I would go back for a weekend with my husband as the hotel facilities, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff couldn't be faulted.
I booked with a well known web site and got B+B for an amazing £79! Dinner in the evening was really good value at £25 for 3 courses with plenty of choices and breakfast, hot, well cooked and served with a smile!
Certainly on my list of definite stays!

Room Tip: I booked with a last minute web company and still got an excellent rom, so guess they are all of a h...

We visited this hotel for a two night break and had an enjoyable stay. The room was a good size, comfortable and overall clean - only area that needed a good clean was around the sink, underneath the worktop/ sink area which was really quite black!! The kettle had also seen better days. The pool area was really nice and jucuzzi great for relaxing in. Breakfast from the buffet was lovely, Egg Benedict wasn't worth ordering waited for it too long and when it came not enough sauce. Bar food was tasty although could have been hotter.
Overall the staff were really pleasant and helpful.

I note some of the other less than positive reviews however, I have just returned from having a carvery lunch with my wife and I have to speak as I find. Lovely warm greeting by in restaurant, seated quickly, attentive service and excellent food. Difficult to fault.

the food at this hotel was terrible the the service was rushed and they also tried to serve us some other tables food and to top it all they served my wife with with wrong meal and then dealt with by a young girl with a cheesey grin that say yes i know . and suggested we have the same meals again
we booked out and left early the next morning on a break that should have been 3 days we were there for for just over ten hours and that was to long in establishment

Room Tip: avoid at all costs

Well after a busy period over Christmas I decided to take an overnight stay with my wife at Dunston Hall Hotel just outside Norwich enjoying a 'Simply Devine Offer'. Upon arrival we were promptly booked in by a very smart, polite young receptionist. To our delight our room was ready well in advance of the designated time. Our room was very pleasant although with no real panoramic views but it had all the essentials, tea coffee making facilities, wide screen TV, hairdryer, bath robes and slippers plus ample space to move around the twin beds. The Spa was next on our agenda and there we found a suitably sized swimming pool with adjoining Jacuzzi along with a steam room and Sauna. After 90 minutes we had a 30 minute Spa treatment which was included in our package. Dinner was pre booked for 7pm and again we enjoyed the polite attentiveness of all staff and had a really lovely 3 course meal. Overnight was comfortable and breakfast the next morning was plentiful with so many options including buffet style English Breakfast, and an option of having food prepared to your liking from the Chef. Our short stay ended around mid-day and overall we were very pleased with all aspects of the stay so much so we pre booked my daughter and son in law in for the 1st Wedding Anniversary break away.

Room Tip: Do look out for the Special Offers the Hotel promote because if available they are extremely good va...

I was made to feel very welcome as soon as I arrived at the Hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very nice, clean, warm and plenty of storage space. Obviously with it being an old building there is some touching up and minor repairs that need doing but nothing to spoil your stay. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and again very attentive staff. The Terrace Bar was really comfortable and prices only a little above Pub prices. The Health Spa was great fun, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi, swimming pool and a huge gym. This place is well worth a visit whether it be to play golf, relax in its splendour, or enjoy the spa, go on treat yourself.
