“Too far out of town”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

This little restaurant attached to the hotel is about 2km away from the main town of Lovina.
The only reason to eat here is if you are staying at their hotel (which has excellent well priced rooms).

The restaurant barely sees any outside visitors, which is due to it being so far away.
As a result, you will get a lovely home meal cooked experience, however the service will be quite slow and not all items may be available on the menu.

As I was staying here for 4 nights, I enjoyed the included breakfast. However for dinner, the menu options are limited.

Found that place familiar but definitely not spectacular. Did not try balinese food, but the German is okay if you should need German food in Bali. But the taste in Germany much better. And miles away from the delicious food of e.g. Buda bakery. Shall we return? No. Not for food nor the atmosphere of the restaurant.

“Homestyle with definite German content”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

Their Gado-Gado is one of the best I have ever had
It was served warm with a very nice peanut sauce and I could taste the ginger in there
Worth a visit just for the Gado-Gado

I could not try the bread because they make it on Fridays and then freeze it

I also had the Weiner Schnitzel which comes with thin french fries and a small side salad
That also was quite OK
In fact, I managed to munch through that fairly quickly

The atmosphere is definitely home style with the family members in full view
You can see the swimming pool and garden

Would I go back?
The next time I want a Gado-Gadi I will go there
I think I will have to go there soon just to make sure it really is that good

They have Bintang and Guinness and some wines available
Plus a large variety of soft drinks, tea, coffee

There are many things to try on the menu

I did not get to the desserts
Perhaps next time

“endlich mal wieder deutsch essen”

After long time abroad one learns to appreciate the German food. Luckily, Deutsche Eck is easy to find at the Jalan Singaraja-Seririt. The dishes were professionally prepared, served in a good atmosphere and gave an authentic German taste.

“Down to earth - but not obove”
Reviewed 23 January 2013

The menu was typical German plus some Indonesian dishes. Taste moved between very good for the bread to not so overwhelming for the cold cut which came with the bread. Friendly service and waitress though! Toilettes surprised me negatively as I am still living under the assumtion (illusion?) that a German restaurant with a German owner would have a far better one. May be the rain which ewas falling dampened our mood!?
