“In a word, perfect!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

We were attending a wedding in the village and were looking for a B&B nearby. We found Clouds via their website which has lots of useful information, we highly recommend contacting them directly! The hosts were 5-star in every way, friendly, attentive and an absolute pleasure to talk to. The room was immaculate and the bed was, according to my lovely partner 'the best bed' shes's ever slept in! It was incredibly warm so the complimentary fan made sleeping very easy. We had breakfast on the balcony in the morning sun with beautiful views over the fields towards the castle. Fantastic! Highly recommend the local duck eggs if available!

Room Tip: Give them a call directly!

Dear esteemed guests,
We greatly appreciate your taking the trouble to appraise "Clouds" on TripAdvisor and we thank you for your kind remarks It is rewarding to know that, even though you stayed only one night with us, you were aware of our best efforts to please you and make you feel at home. The fact that the comfort of the bed was noticed is a source of delight to us and confirms that our long and hard investigations into bed technology, the number and nature of pocketed springs etc: were not just a waste of our time. Your remark that potential visitors should contact us direct, rather than use a third party booking agent, is also most welcome. We avoid using expensive agents in order to maintain our good value for money prices.

We have just returned from a three night stay at the delightful Clouds and we didn't want to leave! John and Fiona gave us the warmest welcome and provided refreshments with home made scones. Our room was lovely with the most amazing view across the fields to Bodiam Castle nestling in the valley. The whole house is beautifully furnished and everything is top quality including the bedding and towels in the private bathroom. The breakfast was undoubtedly the best we've ever had. All ingredients are either homemade by Fiona (bread, jam, cereals) or locally sourced. The fruit salad is delicious! John takes pride in setting the table in a most attractive manor and the whole breakfast experience was so enjoyable. John and Fiona really take pleasure in looking after their guests, nothing is too much trouble for them to help make your stay a relaxing break. We certainly didn't miss having a television in our room, it was much preferable to chat to our charming hosts in the evening. We left feeling we were saying goodbye to kind friends and we will certainly return to this top quality bed and breakfast.

Dear holidaymakers,
It was great fun to have you both staying at Clouds, we did enjoy your company. To read that you also found the experience pleasurable does mean that we did not get too over enthusiastic about this wonderful part of our glorious Country. We know you have a long list of beautiful and exciting places to visit and things to do in this vicinity and we shall look forward to a return visit from two delightful new friends. We do wish to express our appreciation of the charming comments you have published on TripAdvisor. Many of our visitors are very sceptical concerning the appraisals there but as far as we are concerned, in the bed and breakfast industry, excellent reports are our life's blood, so thank you very much.

Clouds is set in the most beautiful countryside and although only there for 1 night we were absolutely spoilt by Fiona and John who are the most wonderful hosts. Lovely bedrooms with views to die for and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious with great choices. We would thoroughly recommend this B&B, and suggest you stay longer than 1 night as we were sad to have to go after so short a time.

Dear Valerie,
It was our pleasure to spoil you, even though we only had one night to do it in. We are very grateful to see that you appreciated our efforts to please you. Many people, who attend the bakery course that you and Jo went to, often stay on for the extra day to make a more relaxing break. Fiona and I am sorry that you were not able to take advantage of the opportunity on this occasion. We always love to see the mounds of magnificent breads which are produced and taken home by the participants. Should you book yourselves in for a further course or decide to come and see some of the glorious gardens in The High Weald, we will be delighted to accommodate you once again.
Kindest regards,
John & Fiona

Dear Earnie, Fiona and I were delighted when you and Diane returned to stay at Clouds once again, this time for your Golden Wedding. You were, as always, exemplary guests and it gave us great pleasure to welcome you to our home for such a special occasion. I know you told us at the time and wrote in our guest book, how much you both enjoyed your stay, but as it was in October last year, we are enormously endebted to you for taking the trouble to publish your appraisal 6 months later. It is very gratifying to know that you are still savouring your experience with us. We look forward to being able to offer you hospitalty the next time you feel like a special celebration.
Kindest regards,
John

Can thoroughly recommend this very delightful b&b with such charming and friendly hosts. Fiona and John go out of their way to ensure your stay is first class. We thoroughly enjoyed the host of home-made goodies they plied us with, from scones and shortbread to the wonderful breakfast with home-made bread, granola, jam and marmalade. Beautifully furnished room with lovely views of Bodiam Castle. Can definitely recommend.

It is hard to put into words just how wonderful this B&B is. It was excellent in all respects. The early morning view from the bedroom window across the valley to Bodian Castle is breath-taking.
The peace and comfort of the accommodation is second to none. The quality of the breakfast was not only first class, but visually exciting.
Most of all, the welcome, kindness and hospitality of John and Fiona surpassed all expectations.

Charming b&b set in the heart of beautiful countryside, run by attentive hosts, Fiona and John. Nothing was too much. There is also plenty to do in the surrounding area, whether it is an historical visit to Bodiam castle, a trip on a steam train or just a walk taking in the scenery (sampling a vineyard en route if that takes your fancy!) Would recommend.

We are most grateful for your kind remarks concerning your brief stay at "Clouds". To read that you appreciated our efforts to make you feel welcome and comfortable gives us much pleasure.
