“Late breakfast”
Reviewed 25 February 2014

Visited Cerne Abbas on a whim on Saturday morning and called in for a coffee. Having seen the English Breakfast being enjoyed by other diners, it looked too good to resist and we decided to have an early lunch/late breakfast. The chef very obligingly agreed to cook breakfast even though the time for breakfast orders had passed. The food was freshly cooked and piping hot. Lovely sausages and bacon and a good helping of mushrooms, tomato and hash brown with toast and freshly brewed coffee . All very tasty and we shall definitely be visiting again. Perhaps to try the cream tea.

“Last minute decision.”
Reviewed 24 September 2013

We stopped in here for tea and cake at about 4.30 on Saturday afternoon, they closed at five. Everything was good but obviously we couldn't hang around. I will return for more cakes.

“Wholesome & Homemade”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

Cerne Abbas is a surprising little village with lovely country and riverside walks. Once you have seen the "Giant" with his manly bearing, stroll down into the village and visit Abbots for a drink and a plateful of homemede scones and cream. Be patient, everything is freshly prepared and the staff are always busy; take a window seat and watch the world go by as you tuck-in to grub.
