"Gardens" is a misnomer. This is a (very expensive) woodland walk. As other reviewers have said, it is unkempt and, consequently, the times of the year when it is interesting are very limited. Right now (August) it is dull. For my £5 I would have expected more that the faded photos that appear on the tumbledown signposts. These photos indicate that the rhododendron season would be the right time to visit. Outside this period -- unless they make an effort to de-weed the ponds and make the gravel paths safer -- I would not bother. Strangely, not a bird in this woodland was heard to sing. Maybe they know something that we don't !
