We didn't eat at the restaurant as we stayed there on a Sunday evening (restaurant closed).

It's a great B&B. The welcome was warm without being intrusive or over the top. The room was very comfortable. The establishment is very convenient to bars and other restaurants.

The breakfast was very good ... and while eating you have a fantastic view of Newlyn's busy fishing harbour.

The only problem is that there is no onsite parking, but there are pay-and-display car parks about 200 metres away in either direction. (Make sure you have £5-6 in change with you to pay the overnight rate.)

Barbara was a lovely host & looked after us well. Really nice accommodation, but unfortunately rooms without views. However, all very clean, tidy & comfortable. We stayed 2 nights & ate in their restaurant on both occasions. Although we never saw Steve, his cooking was excellent & my wife and I cannot compliment the menu choices + service highly enough. Needless to say, breakfast met the same terrific standard. Most enjoyable.

Stayed for one night - welcomed by the friendly owner who took trouble to settle us in despite being busy with the restaurant. The spacious room appeared newly decorated, and was very nicely furnished, with a clean, fresh shower room. The location is good, overlooking the harbour with good views from the restaurant and close to a selection of pubs. (You may need to pay for parking)

Breakfast was pretty good with a selection of fruits and cereals and a good variety of interesting cooked options on the menu to select from.

There are only 3 rooms and it feels like they are going for quality personal service and space rather than quantity. We would go back without hesitation.

Room Tip: Each of the 3 rooms is different and with varying private space outside, so if there's a choice...

We booked ahead as a busy restaurant. We six hungry blokes arrived having walked from Penzance some 20 minutes away. A pretty establishment opposite the working harbour of Newlyn.

Barbara welcomed each if us and put us in a window table so we could see the harbour. A nice wine, Muscatel, was chosen by one of our party to match the fish. Variously we had Scallops starters followed by either the Fish Platter of Whole Minsk Sole, Cod Steak and Scallops or a single fish selection, some even dared the Creme Brûlée for deserts. Whatever was chosen was served with enthusiasm and eaten with same.

In the end not a bad price considering its location and reputation. Yes we would return.

Lovely decor, lovely atmosphere, good attention to detail (polished glasses for instance was commented on) and a nice goodbye. - Thanks Barabra.

No pavement outside so loading and unloading is a little tricky. Parking either across the road (pay and display) or harbour car park (payable 24 hrs).
Rooms are at the back. No views. Overlooked by other neighbours above. Room dark ang slightly damp.
Breakfast was fine although the view across the harbour is obscured by a window bar right in your eyeline.
Not recommended.

Enjoyed a great weekend in this delightful establishment, We received a very warm welcome and were made to feel completely at home. with our hostess giving us lots of tips of places to visit during our short stay, The rooms were clean and extremely comfortable with well equipped en suite fascilities. We enjoyed a delicious meal on our first evening and extremely good breakfasts both mornings that we had little room later in the day for lunch.
The view over Newlyn harbour from the dining room was also a delight.
