The room was lovely - very big & spacious, looking right into the harbour.
Breakfast was nice - more than adequate. Wasn't keen on the 'breakfast is served at 9am' rule though & also the fact that you have to order your breakfast in advance via a menu card placed in a pigeon hole outside your door. (I for one cannot decide what I want for breakfast the night before). We also found that we were disturbed by our menus being collected ready for breakfast time each morning.
The breakfast was served in the rear bar of the pub, which was fine, except for the fact that the customer toilets were also cleaned each morning & the door left propped open so all we could smell during breakfast was that awful 'public loo' aroma - very off putting!!
Our main criticism is that, after breakfast, we were hurried out of our room for it to 'be cleaned' at around 9.20am. We informed the very eager room attendant that we were actually staying a 2nd night so couldn't understand the urgency as neither of us had had the chance to. shower etc after breakfast. Someone came back to our room a few minutes later to infom us we 'had 20 minutes' before they would be back to clean the room!!
So, after a hurried, (but very nice) shower, we vacated our room for the day......
......only to find on our return, that our room had been left unlocked all day, with all or belongings & possessions at the mercy of any opportunist who may chance their luck, as the "residents only" door to the accommodation was continuously left unlocked, despite the fact we locked it every time we used it!!
