“Very Average - Who Needs an American Diner on Orient Beach”
Reviewed 29 May 2013

This one time eating here is likely our last. We thought we would try out this beach front restaurant as several of the others were closed due to some bad weather. All restaurants that we have eaten in along Orient Bay have had excellent food --- here the food was very average to poor.

The hamburger was nothing special; and the pastrami on rye was coated in butter and fried! I could only eat the meat as the bread was terrible. My glass of red wine was presented in a plastic cup?!?

To further add insult -- they automatically charge a 15% gratuity.

Not again.

“This is a place you can call home!”
Reviewed 10 May 2013

We visited last fall (November) with long time friends of Andy/Cheryl, plus all the other "family" members that show up year after year! Not only is the food AMAZING and gourmet, but the view is to die for!! Can't wait for another amazing salad and I know my huband will be back to beg Andy for the recipe for his shrimp!!

“Home away from home!”
Reviewed 1 May 2013

We go several times to Andy and Cheryl's ever time we are in St. Martin! It must be the only place on the French side to get a bottomless cup of coffee! We love Andy's chili cheese omelet for breakfast.
Andy and Cheryl are so friendly, well Cheryl is for sure! The waiter is fun to talk to if Cheryl is busy.
The music and license plates decorating the ceiling all make you feel like you are in a 50's diner. Compared to most places in the French side I would say the prices are very reasonable.
I tell everyone I know to go to Andy and Cheryl's when they are in St. Martin. I give them a warning about the possibility of nudists dining next to them!

“Best Mussels”
Reviewed 30 April 2013

Try to go over and see Andy and Cheryl on Thursday or Friday for Andy's great mussels. He does make the best. You won't be disappointed with your service. Cheryl's makes it a great lunch.

“Very Spendy!”
Reviewed 15 April 2013

Yes, the food was good, as you will read. Between 6 of us, we had a few sandwitches, fish and chips, lasagna, and a couple of drinks. It was good food. However, with dogs running through our feet, birds flying above, and topless people dining next to us from the nearby nude beach, We were shocked to spend well over $140!!! Our toes were in sand, yet we were paying much higher than Olive Garden or even the Outback Steakhouse! On top of that, they only except cash, roll your eyes if you mention wanting to split the bill, then when they do...its wrong, more than one time! I guess with a view like Oriental Beach, you can charge whatever you want and get away with it. As I mentioned, the food was good, good thing too, or we would have been very upset!
