Visited this hotel from the 7th to the 10th June for a family Wedding. This is a very well run hotel & the professionalism really shows. The staff are extremely friendly & they were very helpful in not imposing their usual check out time of 11.00AM. The breakfast was really very good, sadly apart from the wedding buffet's I did not get the chance to try out their restaurant.

I do however think that they should review the buffet selection as we felt that it was lacking in a reasonable choice of food, plenty of salads not really much to go with them apart from a small piece of poached salmon & new potatoes.

Set in very nice countryside with a nice pub just over the road & golf course, not near to shops etc:

Room Tip: The hotel accepts pet's in your room, & some rooms have patio window's for you to take y...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Tripadvisor.

We are delighted with your overall comments regarding our Hotel, staff and professionalism throughout your stay.

However, we do have an extensive buffet selector from which to choose from, but it is entirely dependant on the preferences of the Bride and Groom, not the Hotel.

Many thanks and we look forward to your return soon.

Kind regards

Sandra Devlin

I had the pleasure of been invited to an evening at the Beamish Park Hotel when they held a Soulville Night. The night was a 3 course meal with entertainment. What a night the food and service was first class and I could not fault it all, the big difference between this hotel and the large chain hotels is this hotel knows how to impress, food that is homemade, presented amazingly, and when I say homemade I mean it even the to accompany the starters. It really cant be faulted. The service is carried out by enthusiastic members of staff that really do make a difference. Held in what can only be best described as a beautiful hotel in a lovely setting.
If you have not been to Beamish Park Hotel you really must go, they have an amazing Bistro a great lounge and fantastic bedrooms! You have to try it.

My wife and I recently had a one-night stay here for a special occasion, and it was just great! We had an absolutely wonderful meal in the restaurant, which was decorated in a modern style with upbeat music in the air. The food was the best we've had in the northeast, matched only maybe by rockliffe hall. Maybe. Everything we ate was extremely well-presented and marvellously delicious. I especially commend the chocolate tort. The combination of relaxed atmosphere but still a formal dining experience with exceptional food made this a sure "do again" for us. Our room had a massive bed with up-to-date furnishings. The exterior of the hotel is nothing to write home about but inside is a real gem. Compliments to all the staff who were most welcoming. Can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed another marvellous meal from the new menu tonight. My goats cheese starter and lamb main course looked as if it had been taken straight from a celebrity cookbook and tasted fantastic. Staff were as friendly and helpful as always. Have already booked our next two visits so look forward to seeing you all again soon. Thank you all for another wonderful evening.

As a regular here for over 18 years I feel I had to write a short review. Not cheap but value for money as the food, service and presentation is exceptional.
Very relaxed atmosphere, a top venue for a laid back lunch with nice views then a coffee and read of the papers in the lounge. You only get what you pay for but, having said that, I would rather pay a bit more and know that the meal will be excellent rather than go elsewhere nearby and be disappointed. In all those years I have NEVER had to complain about a single aspect of any meal, that in itself has to be a top recommendation and no, I'm not easily pleased!
I have also stayed here a few times despite living locally and the accommodation was equally as good. Get a table and/or room booked now!

The BPH is set in one of the most historic areas of the country. Beamish Museum is passed to get here and the Causey Arch is minutes walk away. The Tanfield railway at the bottom of the drive. The hotel looks out onto the Durham Moors and gives the impression of isolation from the hussle and bussle of Newcastle which is only a few miles away. The staff are the friendliest I have ever met. From checking in to leaving I did not find anybody who was not courteous or helpful. The rooms are excellent and the restaurant is superb. Overall, although only there for the night, it deserves a 5 star plus rating. I would recommend the BPH to everyone who is looking for high quality when visiting the North East.

Room Tip: The first floor room I stayed in was quiet.

My partner and I booked a late deal for this hotel. It was easy to find and is in a great location. The room was very clean and nicely decorated.
The rooms were really quiet and the bed really comfy.
We ate at the restaurant on the evening and both enjoyed our meals (especially the desserts)
All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
We would definitely return to this hotel for a short break and have recommended it to our friends.
