“Two visits for weekday lunch”

We paid two visits to the Causey Arch Inn whilst we were spending a fortnight in the area. We were greeted in the most friendly manner, and the food was excellent. One of us is a vegetarian which caused no problems at all, and, after a chat to the chef, we learnt that he was quite happy to adapt the menu to our absolute tastes. The views from the window were amazing; and we had great fun waiting for the local preserved steam railway train to puff its way past! Yes, if we come up Causey Arch's way again (we are southerners), this will be the first place we which we shall go for a meal. Thanks to all the staff. MAGGIE & JOHN

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014

We came to Newcastle for a family wedding and spent our first night out at Causey Arch Inn. The food was incredible - we had steak and it was beautiful. Service was incredible - Lisa is an absolute credit to the pub. We wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend to anyone. Shame we weren't there longer as I have heard the Sunday lunch and Monday leftovers are legendary! Best wishes and thanks to you all.

“Great Sunday Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

New chefs have really put this place back to one of the best pubs in the area for food. Sunday lunch great value from £8.95. Noticed that it's getting really busy again so book if you want to eat at peak time. Unlike another place along the road you won't find it shut when you turn up!
