“Beautiful cottage in lovely village”

Nicky has a very well presented and equipped cottage in a lovely location. The local pub is good for meals and the main tourist areas are easily reached while Caldbeck feels quiet and secluded in a great way.

“Comfy Cottage, Great Location”

We enjoyed a short break in this lovely, comfortable and well equipped cottage.
In a quiet and friendly village away from the commercialism of other lakeland locations.
Some great local walks which we enjoyed with our dog.
The local pub serves good food and is dog-friendly.
Unfortunately, Nicky was unable to meet us on arrival but was very helpful on the phone and was on-hand if we needed anything.
An easy drive to Keswick and other main towns in the area.
Great to have a log burner which we needed to dry us out after a very wet walk.

“Perfect Lake District Cottage”
Reviewed 15 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

What a gem! A very comfy place to stay, tastefully decorated and well equipped. We enjoyed the double aspect living room to look out on the countryside. It was also pleasant to lie in bed and hear the river flowing.
The beds were comfortable and the bath luxurious, nice and deep, only slight criticism was that the shower had low pressure
Would love to stay again and noticed in the guest book that some people had, always a good sign
Little village shop and pub 2 mins walk with fantastic and reasonably priced meals. Also the old smithy does great lunch and tea

“A lovely cottage in a charming village”
Reviewed 27 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

The cottage is located in a very quiet and charming village of Caldbeck. It might seem far from the centre of Lake District, but actually it's a very short drive to all its attractions and the drive takes you through some breathtaking views of the area.
The cottage provides you with everything you need and the owner makes sure you have everything you need.
Very good value for money, I can definitely recommend it!

“Brilliant”
Reviewed 22 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

A wonderful base for walking the beautiful north lakes area, Beckside cottage was cosy, well equipped and most comfortable. Nicky is fantastic to deal with and provided clear and detailed instructions and directions for both key collection and checkout. I thoroughly recommend this delightful cottage in the gorgeous village of Caldbeck.

“Cozy cottage perfect for a Lake District adventure or retreat”
Reviewed 9 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

This cozy little cottage was perfect for our family of four to base its adventures in the Lake District. Caldbeck is a charming little town with an excellent pub, tea room perfect for lunch, artisan shops and a town store to pick up basic supplies. The cottage was cozy, not too big and not too small, just right for us to have some family time without being too close. Everything in the Lake district is between a 1/2 hr and 1 1/2 hr drive away through spectacularly beautiful scenery. We also ventured to Hadrian's Wall from here which is an absolute must! The cottage itself has everything you could need for a vacation rental and the convenient parking is right across the road. We will definitely stay here again if we venture back to the Lake District.
