“Quite dangerous, you will need help getting down to the lido area”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

There is free car parking near Spey Farm and the Dancing Ledge is one mile walk from there, you will pass the farm where during the summer from 9-6 daily you can purchase ice creams and cold drinks - believe me you will need them by the time you get back! It is a very steep walk down to the beach and you will see lots of people doing professional rock climbing. I didn't manage to get down to the lido area although there were people down there really enjoying themselves. It was very precarious with it being a former quarry and you would need help to get down and back up to the water - apparently there is a rope although you'll need to know where this is. My boyfriend and I weren't willing to risk breaking our neck! It was very photogenic and it was worth the visit.

“Go before July for best bird experience”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

We went by boat to Dancing Ledge but missed most of the Puffins and other birds that had flown the nest which would have enhanced the experience

“Be prepared to climb and scramble!”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

It's worth the climb on a hot day to swim in the small rock enclosed pool. Safe, clean and cold! To get to the ledge does now involve climbing a rock face.
