We visited as a group of 10 - 3 adults and 7 ten to thirteen year olds. It was perfect for us, good value tasty food, a good cider very friendly staff and a pool room for the kids to hang out in. The mr whippy style ice creams finished off a good night . We liked it so much we went fir lunch the next day too for a very good toastie. Definitely recommend if you're calming in the area

This is a hidden gem. If you're in the area, and you don't like the crap pubs around Corfe Castle, give this one a go.
Really great food, very reasonably priced. Great selection of beers, and a really helpful team of staff.
Would Highly recommend!

Really good pub grub and great value too - cannot understand some of the negative food reviews here!
Chef clearly knows what he is doing - we were camping at Tom's Field and ate here 3 nights running. I would heartily recommend ....portions are large, quality of ingredients is excellent, fresh and very tasty. Try the Dorset ham or the steak and ale pie....you will come back for more.

Been visiting now for 2 years when staying at nearby Toms field campsite and the pub continues to improve, particularly since The Ship down the road closed.

Only eaten a couple of times but the food is basic pub fare, realistically priced.

Main plus points for us is the quality and choice of beers, 4 on handpull and a decent bottle back up (Summer Lightening etc) if you don't like the draught choices (usually 2 Ringwood )

Well used by locals and with a real community feel, its just what a village pub should be, friendly, good service and a great atmosphere.

I hope it lasts for a long time.
