“Our third stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2013

This is our third time staying here whilst visiting elderly parents.
Yes the rooms are a little small and dated and yes you are next to a car park but look beyond the cars to the great views over the Humber with the magnificent bridge soaring above.
They dont serve breakfast as not open till 10.30/11:00 but eating a picnic breakfast on the benches outside whilst checking my email hooked up to their WiFi is perfect. They also provide extensive tea and coffee making facilities.
Great Country park next door as well.

This is an especially nice place to dine on a summer evening. There are wonderful panoramic views of the Humber Bridge, although it is the foreshore which captivates (always nice to be by the water!)
You can sit outside with your dog and water bowls are provided.
The food/menu is typical 'pub fayre' but good enough for the money.

This was a budget hotel with nice bars and food. The room was tidy and clean but a little tired, the bar was nice but shut at 10.30pm on a bank holiday Sunday, on the whole the place is fine, my only gripe was the bed was very hard and uncomfortable otherwise my rating would have been higher.

We've been to this place a few times and have always been very happy with the food but we were really disappointed with our meals on our last visit. My husband had the haddock and chips which weren't very appetising, I had the roast of the day which looked good but tasted bland and it had the microwaved meal taste ugh! It's put us off going back which is such a shame because we like the atmosphere and the lovely views

I can't believe the reviews on here , we took my mum for her birthday and it's quite a distance from where we live , I am not a easy person to please so this is why we went - it was really good , the food was fast , tasty , reasonable , good selection, nice selection of beers and wine etc ,
However I do think the staff could do with some training ? A lick of paint or a morale boost , there's an older lady there who has been there for years , she is the friendliest most helpful , the bar manager he's friendly enough too , but all the others , when ask if I can have new potato instead of chips ? And it takes 3 of them to decide , and then I get told the chef will freak ? I can't decide if that in some bizarre way was to try and make me feel a bit like they had made an effort ? when actually I was just made to feel awkward , this will definatley not stop me going back as overall all of us finished every morsel of our food , which is rare , if your in the area try it !

Only ate here, so this is just a review of the Riverside Bar.

No doubting that it's the view that brings people here. Service is efficient and friendly, food is fairly standard - my belly pork was on the tough side, but my wife was much happier with her sea bass and other family members enjoyed the sizzler. So nothing stellar, but by all means acceptable and price-wise fine.

we were visiting a relative in Castle Hill hospital and decided to stop over for lunch. Glad we booked, because even at 12:15 it was very busy. Specials board had only the one item, but the regular menu was quite extensive. All three meals ordered were lovely and portions good to large - satisfying the mist hungry of our party.

It could have been just because of the Easter weekend - but would recommend that you book in advance of your visit

Room Tip: Book in advance - the restaurant gets very busy
