Just had our wedding reception at Rowley Manor, and WOW! This has been a long time in the planning, and the staff kept saying "Don't worry, everything will be fine". We DID worry, as you do, and the staff were wrong, everything wasn't fine, it was BRILLIANT!

From the start, the service we received was exemplory, but a special mention must go to 2 people in particular, Craig and Alan. to say they exceeded in their service is an understatement, they were polite, professional, charming, funny, and very very good at their jobs. The Bridal room is worth the money i itself, it is huge! The food was gorgeous, and they were prepared for the last minute "I am a vegetarian!" Nothing was ever too much trouble.

The hotel grounds are huge, and so peaceful, but we were lucky with the weather (it rained the day before and the day after but beautiful sunshine on the day).

Overall, a fantastic venue for a wedding, it must be THE premier hotel in East Yorkshire!

We held our wedding at Rowley in aug 2010. The quality of service was excellent. The food was beautiful and the rooms very clean, tidy with great facilities. It is a lovely building in itself but the warm welcome you recieve from the people who work at Rowley is an added bonus.

As a disclaimer, I am a picky person and I have high standards. Rowley is a beautiful venue for a wedding reception, possibly the best on east Yorkshire but it does let itself down in some areas.
I recently attended a wedding there which was gorgeous. However lack of attention to detail was evident including:
- tiny bar with one bar staff at beginning of wedding leading to huge queues, it needed two staff on
- between main course and dessert it was an hour to clear plates, not sure if kitchen emergency caused this
- dessert served with custard instead of specified ice cream
- cleaners cup of cold coffee left in
bridal suite
- guests let into re eption room whilst being turned around
- cake not cut and given to guest
- tables and chairs not moved when asked

All in all very small details which stop this good venue becoming great. Rooms need updating for the price.

Having just celebrated our wedding reception at Rowley Manor there is only one word to describe it - Wow!!!
The staff are fantastic, kind and courtious, and can't do enough to help.
The rooms are grand and splendid. The manor is set in an idilic setting with perfectly manicured grounds making for excellent photo opportunities.
The Food is out of this world - the Head Chef (Steve) made our dream wedding breakfast come true with fantastic food - what's more, the portion sizes are very generous pleasing those guests with large appetites.
Being slightly picky, as the Manor is very old, there is no air-con which may lead to a slightly uncomfortable night if you are blessed with the weather we had yesterday! But all in all that's really the only blemish on this fabulous venue.
Keep up the good work all at Rowley

My new wife and I have enjoyed our perfect wedding at Rowley Manor. This beautiful period location is like something out of a fairytale, and we have, and would recommend popping by whenever you can - it's certainly worth the visit. The views of open countryside within the beautifully kept church and manor house present a stunning location. Rowley Manor itself is well run and very welcoming. It has a warm homely welcoming feel with plenty of interesting rooms and features, such as the Pine room.
The food was second to none, and having spoken to the chef personanally I would certainly recommend stopping buy for his perfect dishes whenever you can. My new wife and I plan to re-visit Rowley Manor whenever we can, and having had our wedding there through another person's recommendation, we will certainly recommend it to anyone else.

I held my wedding here in March 2010 and I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The building is gorgeous - its been tastefully renovated to a high standard in keeping with its roots. The wedding itself was handled expertly by the staff who couldn't do enough not only for myself and my husband but also for every single one of my guests. On arrival any problems with rooms were resolved - including the four poster bed being a little too high for my grandmother - she was moved immediately to a more fitting room for her. Everything we asked for was done.

The food - there is only one word... amazing. We ordered soup, a roast beef dinner and cheesecake and it was out of this world. Everything was home-made, locally sourced and prepared for a very high standard. It was all full of flavour. Any food intolerances were catered for with no complaint and to the same high standard. The evening saw bacon and sausage sandwiches and home-made potato wedges. Despite this not being inkeeping with the elegance of the hotel it was done, and again to a very high standard.

The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Its an old building and with that comes little quirks you only get with old buildings such as creaky floorboards etc.... that just adds to the character of the place though. If something isn't right, the staff take it personally and correct immediately. The bridal suite was beautiful, as well other rooms according to my other guests.

In short, I cannot fault the hotel. The rooms are fantastic, the food amazing and the staff second to none
