“A bit disappointed :-/”
Review of The Hut

The Hut
Reviewed 31 July 2014

The hut itself was shut, so no scating area and no small people entertainment. The toddler area was also shut, and that large tower you see on the pictures on here is not there. I had 2 toddlers with me and a 7 year old. Big boy was fairly entertained, little ones not at all :-/ a real shame. First day of the holidays too! Covered with litter too, not good with the toddlers picking things up all the time.

Free - excellent play facility for 3 to 13 year olds. Great equipment and play facilities that my kids adored!

I had downloaded a street map of Withernsea so I could go for a run whilst staying in the town and noticed the adventure playground (next to the Hut) on Station Road just beyond the Leisure Centre. The free playground is excellent with things to do for all ages and was never busy when we visited with 2 grandkids, so much so we ended up visiting every day with a picnic and then going onto the beach 5 minutes walk away. Next door is the Hut open from 12 noon till 5pm (in August) open to all and free to use, probably unique! Withernsea is a typical east coast beach resort with little else to do if it rains so this place is the business - seek it out.

this is a hidden gem, found by accident last year, we have returned and this time 'the hut' was open too, so that meant toilet facilities too.We had our picnic. All the family, grandparents to toddlers got to sample the vast variety of play things, hilarious attempts on the foot scooter things :) the sandpit and buckets ad spades were a hit with the littlies, only disappointment was that the toddler area section still had the same damaged bits as last year, sure they have could have been repaired by now.

This is a hidden gem of a park! It has an array of things for the kids. Big slides, tunnels, zip wires, basketball hoop. Plus a seperate area for the toddlers. Plus an adjoining skate park for the skates/bikers/bladers/scooters. Plus there's tons to do inside the hut itself..a small buidling overlooking the park where parents can get a drink. Kids can play on video games. They also regularly have things going on for the kids here such as the sizzle and saw on a Saturday morning where you can take your kids to build something whilst getting a free butty and cuppa! Definitely worth checking out and finding out what they've got coming up. This place hits all the right buttons, from toddlers to teenagers.
