“GREAT LITTLE HOME FROM HOME”
Reviewed 31 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Visited this homely, very well equipt little chalet for a mid week break. Denise was very welcoming and had even supplied tea, coffee and milk upon our arrival which was much appreciated. The cupboards contain every piece of utensil you can think of, including a corkscrew for that relaxing glass of wine whilst sat outside enjoying the sun.
There are games for the little ones to play with on sunny & rainy days and a TV / DVD should you not want to venture out, although the views look right out over the sea and are very enticing. .
Heaters for chilly days, extra duvets, blankets, towels, dishcloth, tea towel etc and black out blinds for those bright mornings.
There is a little club house on the adjoining site which is open Wed to Sunday with entertainment on at the weekend and a small shop selling essentials.
It's about 20 / 30 min walk into the centre of Withernsea dependent on which way you walk, the coastal path is very nice. Beware as most of the town centre shops close around 4pm. An Aldi is in the town centre opens till at least 8pm during the week which is handy There is also a small Tesco at the end of the road approx 10 min walk.
All in all if your're looking for a relaxing break on a cliff top with plenty of walking options. I would recommend this little haven. Make sure you take a trip down the road to Spurn point or to the old RAF Bunker real gems that are hidden away. Not sure if it was due to the tide being in in a morning but we didn't even get woken by seagulls.
Thanks Denise, we will be back soon

“Miss”
Reviewed 23 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Just returned from spending a lovely few days in this marvellous chalet , this chAlet itself is well equipped with everything you could think off for a self catering holiday , this was my first time self catering in England and I didn't know what to expect so I took stuff that I thought we would need but there was no need has its all there even wine glasses. The sea is literally a stones throw away from the chalet and it was lovely to sit on a evening listening to the sea watching the rabbits that run about free on the site. The chalet is on a site called golden sands but it's the quite side so it's nice a peaceful. Everyone is so friendly and I get the impression people come back year after year if they don't live there. It's a real home from home and we would Definatley return I cannot wait to go again, I didn't want to come home .

“A terrific coastal chalet with great sea views.”

For budget seaside accommodation this is first class. The chalet has a modern, stylish interior with all mod-cons including shower, microwave, TV/DVD and toilet. Beds are comfortable and there's a good sea view from the sofa.
The campsite itself is well kept, clean and generally above average (there's bad coastal erosion in these parts so you can't blame them not spending a fortune on updating facilities that will sadly be in the drink within a few years). There's a small on-site shop, but Tesco is only 10 mins walk down the road. There's a useful shower/toilet block about 30 metres from the chalet.
There's not much in Withernsea (a couple of old arcades, chip shops and a short prom) but the blue flag beach is great for walking along, or for kids to play on. It's a quiet seaside town, not Blackpool! There's lots of nature stuff to do at Spurn Head (8 miles down the coast) and Hull is only 20 miles away. There are hourly bus services to most locations.
If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing and cheap week at the seaside look no further. Highly recommended.
