We loved the privacy of the room and the fact we could have breakfast when we wanted in our room as we'd had a late night! We came down from London to a wedding in Stonegate so very convenient. Peaceful and cosy! Thank you.

My parents stayed in August and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room is more of a junior suite than a bedroom with plenty of space, a sofa, a small refrigerator and eating area, and a spacious bathroom. There are 3-4 windows giving lots of light and the room and area is very quiet. Decor is modern and very tastefully done. I believe there is on-site parking available, although my parents didn't use it. The suite is separate from the main house with its own entrance, meaning you can come and go when convenient, and enjoy breakfast when it suits you. The owners are wonderful and very helpful. We would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Often travelling alone but discovered this friendly b&b in genuinely friendly family home and felt part of the family. Would definitely return.

We stayed at Rosebank owned by James and Kate Withnall. What a lovely couple, so welcoming and really knowledgeable of the area. The house and garden are just delightful and we were very comfortable there. Kate's a great cook too, so we were looked after on that front too. It felt like home really which in my opinion is the biggest compliment anyone can give.

A real home from home - after a hard day of work and a journey down on a friday night, I was welcomed like a friend of the family with a well received glass of nice rose. My room was huge, pretty with eaves and overlooked the garden. It was also toasty which was nice on a cold night. I was visiting friends and so spent the evening out but was woken with fresh croissants and coffee the next morning. Ill be staying here every time I visit.

Also had a nice drink at the local wine bar at the back of the station which doesnt sound good but has a very pretty garden filled with friendly locals.
