“over night stay”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

stayed here whilst attending a wedding at the very near White Hart, which i presume is their main source of business, its basic dated accommodation, but does all it needs to, just a place to lay your head after a party! a little on the expensive side for what it is but it has a captive audience with the wedding venue being so close. continental basic breakfast included with full English being £6 extra per person, bed was comfortable but had very old fashioned bedding, although clean.was quoted £60 on booking but charged £75 on check out

Read reviews on here and therefore booked another hotel but when that fell through we stayed at the waggon. Really friendly staff and lovely home cooked food.
Basic accommodation but had all the essentials. Great location for guests attending weddings at the white hart about 500yrds down the road.
Not 5* accommodation but good value for money,

Absolutely disgusting place. We were in the area for a wedding so I assume all the decent and mediocre places were booked first as this was our only option. I'd rather sleep in my car. For £60 a night you can sleep in a dirty room, covered in dust and old cobwebs and dead insects and sleep on the worst bed I have ever slept on, every time I moved in the night I woke up as its like a waterbed, so overused and old. The service was horrendous. When we complained the following morning (would have complained earlier but we were already late for a wedding) the member of staff said they usually only let those rooms to trade men as they don't mind so much. Horrible attitude. Places like this shouldn't be allowed.

Just returned from a one night stay here. We booked a room without facilities in the main building. It was terrible. The curtains were hanging off the rail, the carpet was worn and dirty, the windows were filthy and there was a general dirty smell about the place. The bedding and towels were clean, thank goodness, but very dated and worn. The whole place was depressing. Definitely not worth the money. Some of our party stayed in what seemed to be an annex around the back of the main building which was a bit newer.. The rooms were marginally better but that's all I can say. Some of our party had the breakfast which they said was good and the staff were all friendly.

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

We stayed here as we attended a wedding down the road. Location for that purpose was good, just a short walk away. The reason I would not recommend is because we felt misled at breakfast. We had payed for B&B, on entering the breakfast room we were asked if we wanted a full English to which we replied "yes" thinking this was included. Afterwards we were charged extra money because only a continental was included. This was not explained before eating and we left with a very sour feeling.
