Just back from a 3 day stay at Rancho Pescadero and we wish we had stayed longer. The hotel and beach are beautiful and the restaurant was great! We ate at several places in town and ended up eating most of our meals at the hotel since the food was so good. We will be back!!

This hotel has everything you could wish for a perfect stay. Excellent service, nice accomodation, incredible location. There is no better way to enjoy Baja California Sur. El Rancho Pescadero gives you the opportunity to spend some restful days in an unforgettable setting. You will find it hard to "wake up" after your stay wishing that it never ends...

We had not been to Baja Sur before this and were totally enchanted with the region and with Rancho Pescadero. After flying into the cabo airport and driving a rented car about 2 hours ( tip: don't rent the car through Hotwire - rate is misleading due to insurance. BTW trip took longer than it should cuz we missed a turn) we were a little wired. The staff immediately went into putting us into relaxation mode with assurances that our luggage would make it our room while we started with a drink at the bar by the pool. It worked. Our room with an ocean view was ideal. We both looked at each other and noticed how much more attractive we are to each other with an ocean in the background. Also, It took a a couple of days for us to notice that there are no electronics in the room other than an iPod doc. The food at Rancho Pescadero is delicious - we had all our meals there although people we met told us about other good places to eat close by. It's an ideal place to do little (lounge by the pool) or do a lot ( hike, surf, daily yoga, fish, walk the beach...). The staff is outstanding. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Rooms away from pool with bar are quieter but this is not a cabo or cancun type all inclusive. Our...

A wonderful resort that prides itself on excellent service. The suites are beautifully appointed, each with a spacious patio surrounded by brightly coloured flowering shrubs to ensure privacy, some with views of the ocean. A walk through the groomed palm trees takes you to the beach where you can lounge while watching the grey whales breach off shore. Some keen guests even tried their hand at fishing with the available fishing rods. In the evening, some couples chose to dine on the beach - very romantic! The resort has many beautiful gardens that supply the restaurant with its fresh vegetables, salad greens, herbs and flowers. Dinners were a treat - delicious entrees, featuring the catch of the day, Mexican dishes and a very interesting wine list, reflecting some new Baja wineries. A full spa is on site, adventure activities can be arranged and the chef offered us a cooking class which was much fun owing to his personality and the friendly, engaging ways of his staff. The whole experience was magical - star studded sky, full moon, the sound of the ocean. We shall return - Thanks to Edgar, chef and all of the staff!

Room Tip: If stairs are a concern, pick a ground level room.

Was at Rancho Pescadeo in January 2014 and found the place a gem of gems. You take a very small unpaved road about a mile back from the road and it ends at the hotel. The hotel has only 28 rooms and each one is beautiful with large balconies and most have wonderful views of the Pacific ocean where we watched whales and dolphins every day. No children are allowed. The area is very private with very few tourists and hardly anyone on the beach. The staff treats each guests as if they were the only ones at the hotel. From the time we arrived they took our car keys and whisked us to the pool bar for a welcome marguarita. No check in at the office. They took care of getting the bags out of the car and delivering to our rooms. We were in the Milegro suite which is very private and has a winding staircase to a roof top terrace where there is a lounging bed. There are about 4 or 5 rooms with these rooftop terraces. In addition, we had a huge balcony off of the bedroom where large glass doors could close off the bedroom from the balcony. We rarely closed them because of the ocean sounds. Each morning they deliver a basket with a pot of coffee and some small biscuits or rolls. There is a restaurant for breakfast and a separate restaurant for dinner. The food was outstanding. Much of the food is grown in their gardens on site. They have free bikes to take anytime to ride to the market or just exploring the area. There is also a yoga studio for a free class each morning. The beach has a number of slumber beds and iron fire pits where they will make you a fire each night if you want one. There are two pools and the pool bar is staffed by Armando who was one of the best bartenders I have ever had. Actually all the bartenders were great. They would make you any drink you like. More and more are renting the entire place for their destination weddings so you have to book around these events. Will be going back next year.

Room Tip: I thought room 2, Milagro suite was the best because it was at the end and very private. However ro...

This is a terrific resort with great food and service. The beach is very walkable and we saw whales most every day we were there. Rancho has it's own gardens for both flowers and vegetables. Dinners in the outdoor restaurant are very special. Fresh fish, roasted fresh veggies and excellent wines!! We drove from SJD airport but coming in the other way from LAP could be a little less expensive. We had great service from Hertz corporate (watch out for the other Hertz) and we suggest having a car. Todo Santos is worth exploring (watch out for the overhead stoplight!) and Baja Beans have the most wonderful coffee imaginable. No kids at the resort contributes to a quiet experience. All the staff are terrific and manager "Don" greets every guest. (Name tags on staff would be a good idea so compliments could be more personal.)

Room Tip: All rooms seemed great - ocean viewing is easier from second floor rooms (but then you may miss goin...

Summer of 2013 I flew into Cabo in a storm so rented a car and went up the Caribbean side and back down the Pacific side. Came across Todos Santos which has great architecture and many galleries (not really my thing) and great restaurants (unfortunately my thing Lol). Just snooping around and pulled into the road to Rancho Pescadero and knew I had to stay. Heaven on earth, the food, the view, the rooms, the quiet (no phones or tv's), the staff especially young guy in the bar :) I ended up staying several days and almost cried when I had to leave. Would have been better with a romantic partner but otherwise amazing. Maybe a gym would have been nice but instead running on the beach was great. Very special place!!

Room Tip: My room was amazing with a covered deck and loungers and chairs so comfy, Iaid out there and read bo...
