Such an interesting place to visit. It inspires and makes you sad at the same time. Helen Martins was an exceptional person and the place is steeped in history and art. Well worth a visit and take time to explore the village as well.

What an amazing story of this diminutive woman who made such great statements through her artwork and life. A very special place to visit.

After reading so much about it, it was fascinating to see it in real life. So much better and more impressive than I had pictured. Helen Martins may have been considered to be crazy, but she had a dream and it became reality.

I went into the Owl House a few times and every time I saw something different. there is such a lot to absorb. I managed a few times to be the only visitor in the museum and really appreciated that. The statues are in much better condition than when I last visited.

It would be fascinating to be able to quiz Helen Martins on her unusual and sometimes bizarre artwork. It is a wonderland to explore with every corner crammed with all manner of figurines made from a combination of cement and glass. If you are anywhere close it is worth visiting, even as a destination.
