“Amazing hideaway in a great area for gravel friends”
Reviewed 4 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

During our trip east via the several passes on the southern side of Drakensberge we passed this beautiful inn just about 3km behind Rhodes on the way to Maclear.

Accommodation goes from bunk beds to cottages and starts at 200ZAR/pp.
But the great price is for sure topped with great hosts and lovely facilities incl. a 25m natural pool, great kitchen, braii facilities and a tennis court. So if you have energy left after riding the amazing tracks of the area or just need a break this is a great place.

Also a Little shop that provides all you need (from fresh coffee and bread to wellies and pots) is run on the grounds so you can stock up your supplies or be a bit more outgoing in the kitchen!

The rooms are simple and nicely clean!

Full five stars. Only downside was the lack of WiFi but the facilities make up for that!

“Dirt Rhodes down hills & through meadows”
Reviewed 11 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We stayed at Alpine Swift Trails for two nights. 60km dirt road from Barkley East to this venue, but it is worth it - spectacular views!
Hylton and Sunelle were welcoming and shared information about two trails from the venue - both offer scenic views.
Unique experience that I highly recommend.
