Great B&B Convenient for central Manchester

Review of The Ascott
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 15 Oct 2017
Have stayed here twice now when visiting family in Manchester. Very close to Manchester city centre ( 15 mins drive) and so much better than staying in the cheaper chain hotels.
Rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. Owners helpful and friendly .
Great breakfast, cooked to order.
Parking on site
Will definitely stay again!

I've been fortunate to have been staying in this lovely hotel and used 3 of the rooms at different stays.
It is so warm and inviting a place to relax after a hard day.
They have kept all the period qualities without compromising god standards.
Angela our host is fab, very friendly and cheery girl. Unfortunately ive not been able to sample the breakfast as work takes me out too early but the dining area is beautiful with a view over a delightful back court with seating areas for lazy days in the sun. Good internet in all rooms and cleaned on a regular basis.
Im back home working now but cant wait to get back. Also within a 5 min walk of Monton village where you can enjoy fine dining and fast food with lots of choice of pubs and bistros.
Great place to commute from around Manchester.

We stayed at the Ascott Hotel on 1st October. This is a lovely B & B and handy for a trip to Manchester if you don't want the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms and lovely and well presented and exceptionally clean. The hosts are always welcoming. Monton is good for various bars, pubs and restaurants. Eccles is 5 minutes walk and has Smiths restaurant which is always excellent.

Had a lovely overnight stay at this hotel
The rooms was beautifully decorated and very clean and tidy.
We also had breakfast which was lovely too with plenty of choice.
The room had all the amenties you could need including tea and coffee making facilities.
The owners were very friendly and wanted to make sure we was happy with everything.
Its also very close to all the attractions in Manchester.

We booked a one night stay for a visit to Old Trafford. The rooms were reasonable and we had the £79 double in room 10.

The interior of the hotel was lovely, good car parking and a good breakfast. Bubble bath was provided for the bath which seems to be a rarity!

Conveniently located to explore Manchester and surrounding areas.

Would return if back in the area.

whilst working in Manchester I found this little hotel and stayed for over a year .
one of the most comfortable places I have stayed.
the building is an old house and is a bit quirky but the owners and staff are exceptionally welcoming , it doesn't have a bar or do evening meals but it's location more than makes up for that , with good restaurants and down to earth pubs within 5-10 minutes walk in either direction.
it offers budget priced rooms as well as more expensive accommodation with good links via road and rail to the centre of Manchester right on the doorstep.
all in all I would definitely stay there again next time I am down that way.

Room tip: the rooms near the outside doors may seem a bad choice ut are really good rooms
