Fantastic Spot

Review of The Ascott
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 23 Nov 2017via mobile
I’m writing this review on behalf of my mum and Dad who stayed there last weekend. They asked that I make sure I wrote a review as they had a lovely stay. The staff were amazing and really accommodating. The cooked breakfast was first class and the location and area itself was really good. A few minutes walk to town, with shops and bars and the tram into Manchester City centre. Overall a great spot, which they would recommend to anyone looking a nice, clean and very comfortable hotel for a wee getaway for any occasion.

We stayed at this boutique hotel to be be near the hospital as the rush hour traffic is bad.
We were near Salford Royal, and the hotel ticked all the boxes.
Big smile when we arrived even though we arrived noon and usually you cannot check in til 2.00.
Beautiful room, walked down into Moncton in the evening had a nice Italian went back with a bottle to hotel watched tv .
The furnishings the standards and the breakfasts are all tip top.
Rather like sharrow bay but nowhere near the price.

Stayed at the Ascott on a business trip.

Points to be aware of all Minor things, I booked in, early and came back later, and the parking was quite tight, but the receptionist warned me in advance that it was busy to be fair.

The only other thing is that the entrance to get to the car park is quite tight (so take care).

The Wifi signal was a bit poor in my room. I suspect the problem could be really easily fixed with a plug-in and an extender.

Other than that it was a really pleasant stay. The receptionist was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful, The room looked great and the bed was huge and about the most comfortable I have ever slept in.

I would definitely recommend, and will likely stay here in the future.

Really enjoyed my stay here, outstanding value. Comfortable bed, nice homely room, free parking and Wi-fi, friendly staff and finally a gorgeous breakfast. Plenty of choice and good ingredients with the full English. The hotel is also easy walking distance (8 mins) to a few nice restaurants and bars. All in all definitely recommend!

Have stayed here twice now when visiting family in Manchester. Very close to Manchester city centre ( 15 mins drive) and so much better than staying in the cheaper chain hotels.
Rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. Owners helpful and friendly .
Great breakfast, cooked to order.
Parking on site
Will definitely stay again!

Room tip: Booked a superior room as more spacious

I've been fortunate to have been staying in this lovely hotel and used 3 of the rooms at different stays.
It is so warm and inviting a place to relax after a hard day.
They have kept all the period qualities without compromising god standards.
Angela our host is fab, very friendly and cheery girl. Unfortunately ive not been able to sample the breakfast as work takes me out too early but the dining area is beautiful with a view over a delightful back court with seating areas for lazy days in the sun. Good internet in all rooms and cleaned on a regular basis.
Im back home working now but cant wait to get back. Also within a 5 min walk of Monton village where you can enjoy fine dining and fast food with lots of choice of pubs and bistros.
Great place to commute from around Manchester.
