Lovely hotel. I attended a wedding there. The grounds are stunning. The staff are very helpful, couldn't fault them. The rooms could do with a bit of tlc but apart from that i was very happy. Would definitely stay there again.

I got married at headley on 11th April 2014! I am very relaxed and when I went to this venue for valentines last year I know it would be perfect! I felt relaxed, calm, and welcome. It's almost like being at home! All the staff are so friendly and lovely!!! Jane at headley ran the day of our wedding and she is amazing! I was not anxious at all- she took care of everything- always one step ahead. Paul was our chef.... He is brilliant!! He cooked rib eye steak and fish and chips for 70 people along with starters and desert! He also made bacon rolls, hotdogs, and chips for close to 200 evening guests- then joined us on the dance floor!!! We had no restrictions the night before or during the day.... It's was such a relaxed day! The staff were still working the bar into the early hours! I cannot give them enough credit!!! The hotel is dated but full of history and very chic! Parts do need updating and and over the year I have visited they have made so many! I'm sure they will all continue to work so hard on the hotel! The hotel is clean as is the kitchen and toilet facilities! This is a welcome retreat and I would not have been happier anywhere else!!! Thanks Jane, Philip, Paul and all the staff for the best wedding and party! Everybody has said what an awesome place you have- a true hidden gem! Can't wait to come back again!!! Becky and cal xxx

My best friend and I came through for cream tea lunch. The service was lovely, very friendly and relaxed. Beautiful scenery (we sat outside). Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, even admired the good looking staff. :)

'My husband and I have stayed at Headley a few times now. We have also taken our daughters along with their partners. the hotel is always clean and tidy. The rooms are lovely. The staff are awesome, work really hard and nothing is too much trouble. The food is fantastic and always thoroughly enjoyed. Their entertainment nights are well planned and enjoyable. Even when there was a power cut with the bad weather they could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. Already booked to go back at end of April!'

Last night I ate here and had some of the best food I have had probably this year.

After making a booking via groupon, I was a bit sceptical after reading reviews. After arriving at the beautiful location, we sat and dined in the restaurant. Yes, as reviews suggest it could do with a bit of renovation but this was completely overlooked by the grand dining room and nicely set table.

My partner and I both had Prawn Cocktail to start. This was excellent with a full abundance of prawns and fresh salad, even with warm bread. Very refreshing.

For main, I had pork belly which was simply excellent. Served with a rich gravy and smooth mash and buttery vegetables which was delicious! The crackling was excellent, the pork moist and came apart so well.
My partner had Butterfly chicken in a parmesan sauce which was delicious also as I couldn't resist trying some!

I don't have a bad word to say if I am honest, the food was excellent and we were so stuffed that we couldn't even have desert. Our server was excellent, Dan.

And best of all, value for money was incredible! for under £30 for two courses for two and drinks; that is simply excellent!

My advice: Don't knock it until you try it. I can't speak for the accommodation but quite frankly, I couldn't care. The prerequisites of this place were completely removed as soon as I sat down.

This is the exact place where you need to try and need to eat at so they can afford to polish out the minor problems.

Thank you Headly Park Hotel and Dan for a lovely evening!

Stayed here for one night with my wife. Deal was b&b with afternoon tea. We were shown to our room, which was on the very top floor beyond a door marked 'private'. The room didn't have a number on the door ? On entering it looked very shabby and disgusting. The furniture was a mixture of different wood. The bed base fabric and torn. The bathroom was tiny and really old fashioned. The kettle lead did not reach the plug , so it had to be rested on the carpet and plugged in ! However, the room was clean. These were the negative points.
The afternoon tea was pretty good. It didn't take long to arrive. We sat in the garden because it was a nice sunny afternoon. We went for a walk around the lake afterwards. The breakfast the next morning was also good. It was a buffet with the usual fare...sausages, eggs etc.
The staff were very friendly and attentive.
I'm not sure if the room we stayed in was typical of their rooms. However I can only comment on my experience ! And based on that, I am not sure I would return here.
