Well, that says it all really.
It's just a number of rooms up four flights of stairs above an Indian Restaurant. The rooms are reasonably comfortable and that's about the best that can be said after lugging suitcases up the stairs for a 4 night stay recently. Getting a decent night's sleep was tricky as it overlooks a very busy main road. With double glazing, it might have been possible but with ill-fitting rotten windows, the constant drone of traffic kept waking us up.
The duvet cover had holes in it, ordinarily you & I would throw such a relic away and replace it.
Not this fine establishment - they turn it upside down and hope you don't notice.
Hmmm. Maybe not such a good idea.
Continental breakfast was served daily - in your room - no choice. Same thing every day.
Cornflakes, boiled egg, toast & orange juice + Tea/Coffee. This must be consumed on the bed because there's no table. I did ask for fruit & yogurt for a change but they said, no, not possible, no chef to cook in morning. Yes, really.
After reading other people's reviews now, I should have taken more notice of them before booking myself - especially for 4 nights.
You have been warned !!!

Room Tip: Pick somewhere else. Seriously!

after a long wait in reception and being ignored we were shown to our room at the top of the hotel-3 flights of stairs-me and my pregnant daughter had to carry our own heavy cases due to there being no lift and no help from the staff.the room was clean and tidy but very basic and the toiletries consisted of small tubes of shower gel, no shampoo and the liquid hand soap was a cheap refil in an expensive bottle.we did not use the restaurant but what we saw looked goodthe price stated £75 out side on the board but we were charged £85 and as for the continental breakfast we were told it would be brought to our room at 8am and we had no choice in what we were getting or if we had a choice of places to eat it, we have eaten all over europe and THIS WAS NOT a continental breakfast,we were given very weak tea and coffee, 1 hard boiled egg each, 2 slices of toast and a box of frosties each, the frosties was more of a gesture as there was only enough milk for the tea.there was no phone in the room to contact room service and on making the hike to reception found it locked up with no body to be seen, even on checking out.in short avoid this over priced hotel but we can not comment on the restaurant as we never tried it

Wish we had read these reviews! We know this is an excellent, if pricey Indian restaurant, but it was a truly awful hotel experience especially if you have a child. They don't have a travel cot, the family room we had was basic, tired (chiped plaster on walls, window frames falling apart), had cobwebs, and smelt of mothballs. In general functional, but not at the price being offered. Oh, and we had to hunt down breakfast as we waited till way after they said they bring it up. Nice place to eat, won't be staying again.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel overnight as we were attending a friend's wedding close by. We booked it last minute and got the last room available, it was a family room. Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly, and our case was taken to our room. At this point, we had high expectations. The room was located on the third floor, it was called the 'Tara Suite', room 20. We were taken aback by how dated and shabby the room looked! Nothing like the lovely pictures on the website. It was filthy! The net curtains were stained and ripped, the curtains had seen better days and the window frames were rotten which were 'held together' by tape and silver foil in an attempt to stop draghts! We could hear the traffic on this very busy road as if the window was wide open. We inspected the mattress, which was found to be lumpy, the bedding looked clean enough but had numerous cigarette burns in it and smelled strongly of moth balls. The en-suite comprised of a shower, sink and toilet, with a selection of towels. The carpet was heavily stained and well used throughout the room. The shower was adequate, but took time to get to the correct temperature. We didn't really sleep but due to the fact that we had a few drinks at our friend's wedding, we somehow managed a few hours, eventhough the noise of the busy road outside was evident. The biggest joke of all was the so called continental breakfast! Upon request when we checked in, the breakfast was delivered to our room at 8.30 am. It comprised of 2 small packets of frosties, milk, 4 slices of burnt, hard and cold toast which was obviously stale, a coffee pot, jam and butter, and 2 boiled eggs with orange juice. We had to eat off the tray as plates were not given. One of the eggs was found to be mouldy when I took the top of the egg off - it smelled vile!! My husband asked a worker to change it and with apologies the worker produced another one. The replacement was half cooked and looked off too. Out of the entire breakfast, we just had to coffee. At a price of £85.00, this hotel room would be better suited to a squatter! Don't stay here - even if you are desperate!!!

Save your money and book into a Travelodge or something. Just eaten in the restuarant and am shocked by the price and treatment as if we were second class. Made to sit upstatirs because im not Indian, and served substandard food in a way that would suit anyone from Auschwitss. cannot believe what we were aeeing even though we spent a fortune.

I was recommended this hotel by a friend when going to London on business and was very pleasantly surprised by the place. I paid £55 for a single room per night and stayed two nights, the room was small but adequate, very clean as was the ensuite. It's a £5 taxi to the middle of Bromley so central and the taxi driver recomended the restuarant. The place was quiet although I stayed mid week so I can't comment on weekend noise, I think it has just been newly renovated as the room and ensuite were very 'new'. I found the staff very friendly and helpful, I'd definately book again if in that area and would recommend to anyone.

We stayed here as it was near a friend's place and had not seen the reviews. We had a deluxe room for £75 for two with breakfast. The room was newly renovated and the other rooms were in the process of renovation. Breakfast was served to the room at 7:30 which we liked. There was no selection on the cable, just local channels and no phone. Internet was extra through BT. Other reviewers must have stayed in older rooms. The location is OK if you want to visit London, but it involves a 10 minute bus ride and 20 minute train to Victoria. The bus only runs 2-3 times/hour.
