Lovely atmospheric pub. Lovely wood fire in the bar area and nice restaurant area with tables tucked away for small kids. Kids menu not mentioned on website but available inside pub. Standard menu looks good but so many specials we all ordered from these. Really tasty food and nice generous portions.

Quite near to where I live and I couldn't be more pleased. Looks great from the outside, great on the inside and great out back. A proper local with friendly staff and friendly punters contributing to the good atmosphere, plus open fires, a pub quiz and visiting bands. A good local is like an extension of your living room I always think and this place has certainly got that feel about it. Tim Taylor, Pride, Harveys, Bombardier on tap as well as some great guest ales and locals - Golden Braid from Hopdaemon is going down very well with me at the moment, plus decent pub grub. A gem of a place.

We liked the look of it from the outside, but inside there was a lovely greeting, a smile from behind the bar, even the regulars said hello, the food looked good but we only popped in for a drink but we will certainly return for a meal. Some pubs have that welcoming atmosphere and this one certainly did, albeit beams on the ceilings, a slightly sagging ceiling, lots of woodwork and latches on the doors just added character. Just a fantastic find ....and oh yes the real ale is good too. There was a certificate on the wall about being runner up of pub of the year so it was not only myself who thought it was good!!

Lovely looking from the outside, traditional country pub decor and atmosphere inside. Great real ales and a very friendly service.

We happened on the six bells by chance when visiting Woodchurch recently.
The pubs look and frontage was eye catching and the inside in-keeping with the look of what must be a listed building.

The wine and ale selection was impressive and the staff friendly. If we are ever in the area again im sure we'll make a point of visiting again.
