In spite of heavy rains we really enjoyed the stay in the resort. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. My kids and parents equally enjoyed the saty in the resort. We really loved staying there and would visit this resort every year.

We (2 adults+ 2 kids) stayed in this resort for 2 nights in the first week of June 2014....Took a cab from thalessery rly station, kerala which took around 2.1/2 hrs to reach Kadkani resort (100 kms )...Roads were decent enough thruout the trip....

Perfect 10 for the staff and the kitchen....Very average room (den cottage) and an ill maintained landscape was a big disappointment ......
Activities like still rafting, zip line, paddle boating,Burma bridge can keep the adults engaged while the kids can enjoy the trampoline ,swings n swimming pool.....

Major attractions worth visiting (which are arranged from the resort ) - Elephant camp, dubare and the Tibetan monastery also called the Golden temple.......

We stayed in this resort in June for 4 nights on a family visit with our two adult children and we had a wonderful relaxing time there. All staff in the resort made us feel at home and they took care of us well. There is also walking trail around the resort with lots of different trees. The swimming pool was well maintained. The quality of the food was excellent with a mix of Coorg, south Indian and Chinese dishes. The quality of the food was consistent during the entire stay and they also met some of our special requirements. We had requested for fish preparation and they went out of the way to arrange the same for lunch and dinner on one of the days.
The guided plantation walk and river rafting was unforgettable.
We were dropped in the middle of the Cauvery river during the river rafting and we all enjoyed the time. At no point safety was compromised and all precautions were taken. Mr. Ponnapa is to be appreciated for this.
Mrs Kanthi responsible for the restaurant took great care and attention and also arranged for us late lunch since we were delayed due to the site seeing trip.
Overall we had an enjoyable unforgettable stay and we will definitely go back again.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the reception are better from easy access to the restaurant point of view.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Kadkani River Resort is the right place for you. A beautiful property wherein you are surrounded by nature from all sides. A little difficult to get to the property, but if you follow the instructions and map given by the resort with the names of all the places, you will not have a problem. We were a group of 15 people and had booked 5 Den Cottages which were close to the Reception and Restaurant area. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff is extremely courteous and polite. The Restaurant too was very good with a good buffet that was spread out. We had already mentioned to Shilpa (Sales in charge) while booking regarding our meal requirements and everything was well taken care of. The Resort also has some good activities like still water river rafting, a walk through the coffee plantation, zip line crossing and a recreation room. Special mention must be made of Mr. Ponappa who is in charge of all these activities. We went for the coffee plantation tour and I must tell you that Mr. Ponappa is very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information with us. The best was the still water river rafting and it was worth going for it. All in all a great holiday and a wonderful experience.

We visited this placed towards end of May 2014. We were about 6 of us including kids and elderly parents. The arrangements and follow-up from the time of doing the booking was excellent. There are enough activities for the Kids and a great place for walks, rafting on the river and the activities on the campus. Dubare / Nandroling / Agasteshwar temple are easily accessible if one does feel like going out of the campus.

We enjoyed the arrangements and stay tremendously and in fact we are planning on going their again with the group of friends.

Cheers,
Prasanna

Room Tip: All the rooms are spaced around the campus and no particular choice is needed ...all are good.

I have been to this resort earlier... All was good except for this time when they messed up my booking . I had a 50th Anniversary for my Parents and had requested during the Reservation to have the closest room to the reception area booked for them as it would be easy for them to come and attend activities with us. I was confirmed over the phone that they will absolutely keep it for them

But when we landed out there they had messed up by allotting the room to some other guest.

We were stranded at the lobby for 1hr 30Minutes to make alternate arrangements and then communicated that they could not work it.

Absolutely Mismanaged... PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ELDERLY FOLKS OUT THERE AS THIS RESORT IS NOT AT ALL MADE TO SERVE THEM.

Room Tip: Absolutely Mismanaged... Please Do Not take Elderly Loved ones to This resort as the resort is not m...

We were group of 6 visited resort last week. We had booked Premium Cottages which was spacious & clean in all aspect.
Hospitality shown by staff is good.
Good variety of food was available during breakfast, lunch & dinner buffet.Tastes were good.
Resort has lot of activities ziplining, rifle shooting, boating etc which keeps you engage most of the time. We can also plan visit to madikeri tourist spots. However this place seems to be far if you are planning to visit dubare, nisargadhama & kushalnagar golden temple, although you can reserve one day exclusively to visit these places or plan to visit on your way to bangalore.

Route: There are two routes to this resort.
1st is take deviation near hunsur.. The road is bad/will take you for surprise at some point & require offroad feature in your vehicle.
2nd route: go to madikeri & then take route to resort. This road is far better than the first one & also it is a highway.

Try first route if you want to be adventurous, but make sure your vehicle has fuel, backup tyre, tool kit & you have GPS turned on all the time. at some point, you might lose connectivity & you will not see anyone around for direction. However route is straight enough to reach resort without any problem.

Only suggestion for management:Can you please keep an microware/oven in premium cottages or in common area of resort so that guest can use if they need at the middle of night for little one's (boiling milk/water/ heating food etc) without causing trouble to resort staff.

We would like to visit this friendly resort in future.
