Really enjoyed our stay at this home stay. Group of 7 thoroughly enjoyed as its away from hustle and bustle of a city. Get up and the view of the estate from the room is splendid. Food is also the best part about this place.
Thank You and keep at the good work.
We will definitely come back.
Loved the location and cottages are nice. Space well utilized for small n large groups. They accommodate any additional requests without any fuss.
Only improvement needed is with food. It is very average.
It was a family outing for us and we found 27trees homestay as an excellent place to be with family...4 houses.. Not very crowded... In the midst of nature... If you want to chill out for a couple of days and enjoy being part of Nature .. This is the place. Food can be improved.. Glad that they were open for suggestions. There is a uphill of close to 300mtrs were no proper roads. They have kept it rustic but still it can be made in such a way driving is possible... NO NETWORK.. can be a blessing for many but curse for few...Electricity is concern... Specially its high range area..you have leaches ,spiders and other centipede and millipedes...coming your way... So electricity is must and should.
Places to go around is wayanad forest safary, white water rafting , coffee estates Irpu falls... Etc etc...
My stay was peaceful and exciting... Thank you 27trees and the young ppl who run the show was equally excited to get improvisation by receving suggestions and making the space more rustic and eco friendly.
All the best team 27trees!! Cheers
If you need a break from the noise and pollution of city life, this place will rejuvenation you. The elegant well furnished cottages offer a comfortable stay close to Nature. Host Ravish and his team will make you feel at home. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return again.
This homestay is run by a group of 04 corporate guys (based in Bangalore) who are personally involved with each guest and detail and most importantly passionate about the business.
We (3 of us) stayed in the Swish cottage which was spacious, airy and more importantly clean. Comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom with shower+heater. Sitting area outside.
Great food which includes breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks and dinner. Good spread and filling. The cook was also very obliging and accommodating. They organised a campfire for us.
Overall good experience. All the best.
We stayed at wooden cottage at 27Trees for 2 nights with our 3 year old. Anybody who is traveling with a toddler knows how much research goes into selecting a homestay...Location, food, approach road, accommodation, landscaping, etc it's a long checklist ...
This homestay passes all those criteria on the checklist!
-Cottages - They have 2 wooden cottages and 2 Swiss tents.Cottages are HUGE and clean with 5 single beds and a cane sofa set! Perfect for family with kids !
Cottages are spread across so there is decent amount of privacy. They have windows in all 4 directions with the view of the plantation and a bit of Brahmagiri Mountain Range. The cottages have a DRESSING ROOM attached to the bathroom, which I have NOT seen in ANY homestays or even resorts! - which shows the amount of thought put into designing these lovely cottages.
There are no fans in the cottages so we felt a little hot during afternoon. The Swiss tents are airy though.
-Food - Very good - Lots of options , served hot and fresh in the lovely hut dining area ! Breakfast, Lunch, yummy snacks and Dinner, all the meals were really good-a mix of South Indian, North Indian , we did miss tasting the local Malnad dishes though. Nonetheless, we enjoyed every meal especially lunch that the host Archana cooked -best veg biryani and super soft and yummy akki rotti!
-Service - Excellent!
Starting from booking and though out the stay, the hosts(Girish, Pratap) and the staff (Manju and others)had been very very cordial and made sure that we were comfortable.
Activities :-An hr away from Nagarhole National Park.
Just 20 mins away from the Glenlorna Tea Estate, which is en-route to the homestay. It makes for a good Sunset point.
-Short morning trek to their shunTi tooTa.
Well, nothing major but a note on what to expect.
Power cut : It had rained the previous night so there was some issue and the power was out for most part of our stay. Hot water and emergency lights were provided but it might become a problem for large groups or for elders at night.
As there are no fans in the cottage, it might get a little hot during afternoons in Summer.
The hosts did mention that the power-cuts in the area was not very frequent , but I hope they would be better prepared for monsoon...
We actually did enjoy the darkness which gave us an opportunity to gaze at the stars :-) Dinner by the campfire under the open starry sky made the night a memorable one.
Overall it was a very rejuvenating stay! I highly recommend this place to families with Kids as the cottages are huge with multiple beds (which btw,do not give you the feel of a dormitory)
Thanks to Pratap and Archana for attending to all our needs, keeping our lil one engaged whenever he ran to them and making our stay really enjoyable:-)
Situated in one of the best locations, you can just lay back and enjoy the bramhagiri range with a drink. The yummy food keeps on arriving, loads of it, just the place to spend the weekend in tranquility. Chances of sighting a tiger when driving to the place since you can drive thru Nagarhole tiger reserve, you can always drive back for a safari too, the place is about an hours drive. With dedicated folks looking after you, you can be at ease. Place i would go back again n again.
