“Lovely Cottage, fabulous location!”
Reviewed 18 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We stayed at Sunnyside Cottage for two weeks in May. The cottage is in a great location, just ten minutes walk from the coast, with lots to see and do in the Lakes District. The cottage is very well equipped and stocked, there is an abundance of kitchenware, linen, towels and cleaning products which was a delightful surprise. The cottage was well furnished, beds comfortable, wonderful shower and internet was speed was really good. Whilst neighbors are close, it was still very private and quiet, the private patio was also lovely. The owners were lovely with great communication. We would definitely recommend Sunnyside Cottage and would stay again.

“Beautiful cottage. Home from home”
Reviewed 12 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Everything you could possibly need is in this cottage. We had a lovely time & had some lovely walks with Bailey( our lab) Plenty of places to visit if you can drag yourself away from cottage. We only went out a couple of days but we did visit nearby holiday park for a drink. Lovely park & everywhere around is very dog friendly. Residents actually leave water outside their homes for passing dog walkers. Would definitely stay here again, in fact a week wasn't long enough. Would recommend nearby golf club for food & friendliness.

“Cosy, comfortable cottage in beautiful area”
Reviewed 14 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This was our second visit to Sunnyside Cottage and it was as immaculate and welcoming as our first stay. It is well equipped to a very high standard and is a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We love being able to enjoy coastal or woodland walks straight from the door and didn't use the car on several days! Bliss! Silverdale is in an area of AONB & this cottage is perfectly situated for exploring this fabulous area. We will be back!

“Comfortable, well equipped, warm......ideal”
Reviewed 16 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We enjoyed an excellent week at Sunnyside Cottage. It's well placed for visiting everything within the Silverdale and Arnside AONB as well as the Southern Lakes. We mainly went for the bird watching at (very) nearby Leighton Moss reserve, walking the coast and hills and the amazing "thing" that is Morecambe Bay. Though this is a small area compared to the wider Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales a week was not near long enough to explore it all and we will be back.

“Cosy, warm and nicely appointed”
Reviewed 14 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

This is a cosy, warm and nicely appointed little cottage, ideal for our late autumn break. Leighton Moss RSPB reserve is practically on the doorstep, with a wonderful variety of birds at this time of year. There's good walking in the area, too, with fine views towards the Lake District from the top of Arnside Knott, and atmospheric November sunsets across a tranquil Morecambe Bay. A thoroughly relaxing place to stay.

“A real "Home from home experience"!”
Reviewed 17 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Sunnyside Cottage is a place where you very quickly feel 'at home'. It is comfortable, warm and well equipped. An ideal base for exploring Silverdale, and very convenient for the South Lakes in general. We can recommend Sunnyside Cottage without hesitation.

“The cottage that lacked for nothing!”
Reviewed 29 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

After many, many cottage holidays this one came top in what it provided within the cottage - basically everything you could possibly need, plus added bonuses such as binoculars, walking poles, wifi and a fantastic gas fire that was more like a real fire to look at than any I had ever seen before.
There are walks in all directions from the door, including a lovely walk to the village via a little cove.
The cottage is overlooked from the house above, and is sunken down and a wee bit dark inside; so no great views, but such a lovely area that it didn't seem important as we didn't stay around much in the day time.
The alarm went off one evening, but seems to have been prompted by a power surge, and apparently it hasn't happened before.
We would highly recommend this holiday cottage, and the owner was very helpful.

Liked best: Trying out the walking poles as we were planning to buy some so could try before we buy!
Liked least: A bit of venetian blind fixing fell off in the night with a bang - it had been velcro-ed in place so had probably broken before.
