Review of The Sundial

The Sundial
Ranked #1 of 4 Restaurants in Bentham
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: US$8 - US$14
Cuisines: British
Description: A friendly local pub serving home cooked locally sourced food and fine beers and wines. Muddy boot and dog friendly. Food served Thursday to Saturday evening's 6 till 9pm and sunday lunches served 1-5. Menu includes homemade stone baked pizzas and Gourmet burgers. All ales are rotated regularly. We do like to revamp the menu from time to time and always cook our menu from fresh on site. Wherever possible we use local ingredients. We hold a weekly quiz night on Wednesdays from 8pm with supper included.

Everything from the warm and friendly welcome to the quality wine, food and beer makes this little country pub a fantastic experience.
We've enjoyed the Sunday roast (proper homemade Yorkshire puds, great veg & delicious gravy) and a evening meal and are so impressed that we've booked in for a Christmas friends celebration meal.
Simon and Sean are bringing a little bit of style and quality to Low Bentham.
Thanks guys for providing humour and prosecco!!

We had a lovely evening, taking part in the Wednesday evening quiz and enjoying the great beer and curry. We are a group of 8 holiday makers and were made to feel very welcome. Well worth a detour if ever you are visiting this part of the country.. Everything a local should be.

Only a month ago, this pub gained new owners......well they clearly know what they're doing!

We went as a family of four adults plus a 3 year old, not really knowing what to expect as the pub had a pretty bad rep previously.

The decor is sensational. Colours and furniture blend perfectly. We were given a table in a window alcove after a very warm welcome.

It was a Sunday and we all had roast dinners - even the little one had a mini dinner. The food was just....perfect! Could not fault it. Everything was beautifully cooked. The pudding I had (apple & blackcurrant crumble was......perfect!

This was as close to home cooking I have ever had, and I've no hesitation saying it was the best pub food and Sunday lunch experience I've ever had!! Thanks guys!

Go there and see for yourself.....you won't be disappointed!

My husband and I had called a couple of times for a drink recently. New owners are very friendly and have created a welcoming and convivial establishment. We booked for food this weekend and we were highly delighted. I sampled the chicken breast with black pudding wrapped in palma ham. It was delicious and the vegetables were exactly to my liking. Not overcooked and fresh. Will definitely be going back soon.
