“Pleasant venue for a homely meal”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

I recently had my first meal at The Butchers having recently moved into the area. My friend and I had the 2 course option. The option only includes a starter and main meal not a main meal and dessert which I would have preferred. I had the sauteed mushrooms which were delicious followed by the lambs' liver on bubble and squeak which is just what it was, nothing fancy just basic lambs' liver on bubble and squeak. It was a tasty mid week evening meal but nothing spectacular. Nice homely setting and very friendly staff.

“Pretty good”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

We ate here before a big bike race the next day and wanted a good meal and a couple of pints. The Butchers Arms was the perfect destination. The staff were super friendly and efficient. The steaks we had were excellent and a good range of beer.

“Good Food, Good Beer”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Terrific views from the restaurant and patio. Excellent locally brewed beer. Good menu reasonably priced better than just pub grub. Try the slow cooked belly pork. Staff efficient and pleasant,

“Large group, quality food”
Reviewed 18 May 2014 via mobile

We had a table booked for 18 people and the food was excellent. Duck was great lamb cooked nice and well done (one might need to request themselves for medium/re ) the atmosphere is cosy, large car park should you not be staying walking distance away. The only downside was slightly off time service. Would definitely recommend this for good food lovers.
