Just back from a week in the Gower - can't think why we have never been here before as it is so beautiful and many of the beaches are not commercialised and quite stunning. The campsite is in an amazing location, plenty of large pitches, very informal and the owners/staff are very friendly and helpful - and no huge camper vans or motor homes and their gigantic awnings dwarfing the tents! Wasn't sure how teenagers would respond to the fact there is no clubhouse or noise after 11 pm but there is plenty of space to play football or cricket.or just run around - good old fashioned fun that doesn't require a keyboard or screen! There are electrical points around for charging up phones, tablets and other gizmos if you need them to survive. Pool excellent for kids. Toilet and shower blocks were always spotlessly clean (it is interesting that when people need to provide their own toilet paper there is so much less of it decorating the floors or blocking the loos!) Also 20p for a shower is not going to break the bank, the water was hot and ran for approx 7 minutes which means less water is wasted - that's gotta be good surely?. While we were there, although it was busy at the weekend there were plenty of showers to go round and if you have to wait you know it will only be for a limited time
Overall this was one of the best campsites we have ever stayed on and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
