“What a Gem”

As a family group of 5 adults and 3 small children we could not have been better suited. The house has a lovely feel to it, there is loads of room and plenty of toys and books for the children if the weather is bad, which it wasn't. The garden is lovely and you can watch the kids in the meadow down the bottom from the comfort of the lounge or the patio. Not suitable for anyone a little infirm as there are lots of steps both inside and outside the house, but even the toddler managed after a short time to negotiate her way along the patio and down on the grass. The views are fabulous.

“Perfection”
Reviewed 14 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Stayed at Ferndale with my husband, mother in law and my 3½ year old son for a week in September.

We were so delighted with the property when we arrived - it's HUGE and will easily accommodate 8 people in 4 large, well equipped bedrooms. There were 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets and a fantastic kitchen that was fully equipped. The living room is bright, airy and comfortable. We were lucky enough to have great weather so spent lots of time with the patio door open so we could enjoy the beautiful gardens and let a breeze in.

There is a fantastic toy cupboard that our son loved, plus a really useful cupboard full of games, lightbulbs, sewing kit, iron etc. In another cupboard, you will find stair safety gates, a dryer, high chair etc. Everything has been thought of and toilet paper, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc are all provided, as are towels.

The beds are SUPER comfortable and the bed in the master bedroom was fantastic as were the views across the downs.

We absolutely loved it here and enjoyed eating in the dining room each evening. So much space, character and everything immaculately kept. It was such a pleasure to spend our holiday here and we hope to return very soon.

Special thanks to Patricia for making sure our holiday ran smoothly!

Our tips - turn right out of the drive, follow the road up a little and then turn right onto Southford Lane. Keep your eyes peeled because on the right is a lovely place selling jams, preserves and fresh fruit & veg from a little cupboard. Beautiful stuff, honesty box etc. We bought loads! Very lovely.
Turn left outside the drive and you will find yourself in Niton where there is a decent shop for all your needs.

“Comfortable spacious house, breautifully equiped”
Reviewed 13 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We all had a super time at Ferndale (3 generations). The children loved finding the different books and toys.
We all loved the garden and the comfortable well equiped house. A joy to stay in.

Not good for people who need a wheelchair indoors.
