This is a well run family business with fresh made scrumptious cakes and bread daily and delightful seafood platters, panini's and salads ideal to take your friends and family for lunch and watch some horses too!

“Excellent food, first class service & great value for money!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 December 2013

I have recently been for coffee on a Saturday and for Sunday lunch and I have been very impressed with Ballavartyn's Arena Restaurant. I found the food excellent, first class service & great value for money in a comfortable setting overlooking the fantastic Ballavertyn Equestrian Indoor Arena and I have been fortunate to enjoy Sunday Lunch whilst having front row balcony seats to lunging and showjumping and a Crufts Qualifier for Manx dogs. Well Done!

“Unique location and good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2013

In the posh new Equestrian Centre opposite Mount Murray is this nice little restaurant where you can view the horsey goings on in the indoor arena through picture windows or, on the other side, those in the outdoor arena, or enjoy the view over the countryside to the sea. Obviously used by the riders and their families, it has two giant screens showing Sky News to keep you abreast of the latest, an attractive reasonably priced menu with good quality food and good service and plenty of parking. Not so much the place for a night out, but ideal for a light or medium meal in fun surroundings during the day.

“OK if you like horses”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2013

This is a restaurant directly adjoining a horse riding arena and will suit horsey people but perhaps not others. I went with some friends to a Sunday carvery recently and we found the smell from the arena a bit off-putting, not helped by people coming straight into the restaurant while wearing the same clothes and boots they had just been riding in. The food was good enough though a little limited in variety and it's not a 'help yourself' style of carvery. However the major problem several of my party had was that the plates were not clean and contained remnants of food. They also were not impressed by having to walk along a muddy concrete path to reach the restaurant. I suppose it goes with the territory but the layout of the site is not ideal, especially for elderly people who may not be to wonderful on their feet anyway. It's early days so things might improve.
