“The Pinnacle Of My Day - Great Place - Fab - Must Do”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2013

What a Brilliant and Beautiful Day. Trip to the summit was incredibly picturesque and very beautiful. Saw a falcon sitting in a tree and absolutely spectacular views on the journey to and at the summit. The summit cafe had warm, welcoming and smiley staff. They all seemed very happy to be there. The cafe was modern, immaculate and modern decor with great views from the windows. Lovely light entering the windows. They even had wide screens showing a history of the railway which was very interesting. The food was lovely. Especially the vegetable curry which was delicious. When I went outside I got talking to the chef who had left out some leeks for the sheep. He was so friendly and a very interesting and warm person. He told me how to make the curry. My day was A* and this cafe exceeded my expectations. Thankyou. God Bless.

“coffee and cake”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2013

Must stop at the top. Welcoming and quick service, to serve the hordes from the railway. Toilets clean. View spectacular, but breezy.

“Great journey to the Summit! The views and the Café are definitely worth the climb!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2013

It’s an amazing ride to the summit at 2,036 feet on the Snaefell Mountain railway!
The views are fantastic once the weather is cooperative!

It must have been quite a feat to build the Summit Hotel at the top of Snaefell Mountain!

When the fog rolls in or while waiting for the tram to depart for Laxey again, it’s great to have a nice cup of coffee and cake in the café!

The staff are efficient and friendly. The washroom facilities are clean and the variety of food, drinks & snacks on offer is quite good.

Kudos to the staff to who work here as it is isolated and we imagine the conditions blistering in winter! Yet they brave the journey up and down the mountain everyday to their jobs!

Fantastic café and worth the climb to enjoy a treat here! Highly recommended!
