“more than expected!”

Something for everyone here. The art exhibitions are really good and change often. The café is excellent but a little expensive for some pockets i think. I would like it to open later in the evenings especially in the summer months, don't always want to go to a pub.

“Good coffee but slow service!”
Reviewed 24 April 2013

I like to pop down for a coffee now and then as its the only place in Barton to get a decent one. Over time though I have noticed how the service is becoming incredibly slow which has put me off from ordering food anymore! This seems to be down to lack of staff more than anything, with the odd occasion where staff have been chatting rather than serving.

“Lovely food plus art”
Reviewed 11 April 2013

The cafe provides excellent lunches and is very popular - get there just before 12(hint!). Besides having a relaxing lunch there are also changing art exhibitions and a very tempting little shop area selling original items made by artists - I never can resist buying something. It is an interesting area so a walk to view the Humber Bridge can also be fitted into your visit.

“Ever-changing, always inspiring”
Reviewed 15 February 2013

The galleries are refreshed regularly and are always interesting, even if you don't like a particular artist or theme. The shop is full of high quality stuff and the cafe is usually full - for good reasons. I'm off there now!
