My wife and daughter booked this site for the first outing in our touring caravan. We booked a super pitch as advertised in their brochure and website because it had full services, hard standing, fresh water supply, grey water outlet and electricity and "The Best Views in the Park". On arrival it was confusing with traffic just driving passed the receiption, no proper pull in place for tourers so we followed the traffic into the park in the hope of finding a place to stop. We drove into the touring area and stopped along side a warden gave our names and he said choose any pitch that we had just passed. so we turned our outfit around and drove onto a concrete hardstanding that was available. Once out of the car, we noticed that the water supply was capped off, the tap was in a puddle in the concrete, the grey inlet was taped over and the hook up box was badly broken. We approaced a security man who said he would get it sorted, after 1/2 an hour still no sign of him so my wife went to the office and spoke to them, the girl in there apologised and said we could move to another pitch, but all the available pitches were either the same or in a worse state than the one we were on. Broken pipes of all types electric boxes not working and rubble instead of hardstandings. As I walked around the site most of the pitches had problems with the stand pipes and electricty boxes, the family in the next caravan had a pipe with a tap that worked, but he could not use it properly as the tap was about 3 inches of the ground. We again visited the office and the receptionist came down to look at what we were complaining about, she could not understand why we were so annoyed, by the time she had got there a maintenance man had taped the electricity box up (which prevented opening it up to reset the circuit breakers). We left the site to try and find somewhere else to stay but being bank holiday could not find anywhere, we returned to Tattershall to find they had tee'd off the neighbours water, making it worse for him and put a flexi pipe with a tape across to our van, unfortuantely it was on the wrong side for the water supply for the van. We connected the electricty cables to the van and found there was no power! We returned to the office once more to find other irate families that had been double booked in their holiday accommodation and asked for a full refund as we would not be staying, after a long and heated argument we finally got a letter to say they would refund our money. After waiting for over 3 hours for help we decided to leave... and have vowed never to return there again.

It was extremely disappointing to read your review as the park worked with you for over an hour to rectify the problems you reported. After that time, the water was working and your pitch had been visited by a qualified electrician who reassured you with regards to any of your safety concerns. Given the depth of your disappointment, which you expressed to several team members, the park agreed to give you a full refund despite the fact that they had resolved all of the issues you raised. This was given as a gesture of goodwill purely because you were obviously disappointed and clearly did not wish to stay. We would never knowingly cause a customer to stay on our park when quite clearly they regretted choosing it as a holiday destination.

Booked a 4 day break here, but wish i'd been on Trip Advisor b4. Booked a Lodge through Hoseasons. Got there & were put in a smoky caravan. Complained, ignored, complained again & were moved to ShelDuck. It was a lodge, but a very neglected lodge.
Glad we were only there 4 days.

I am so sorry that you had such a negative experience when you came to Tattershall Lakes Holiday Park in September 2009. Since Away Resorts took over late last year I am happy to say that things have drastically improved. We are very proud of the changes we have made on park and also of our Guest Services Team who take immediate action should any of our guests voice any concerns.

I was appalled to read your e mail and just wanted to advise you that since Away Resorts took over the park late last year things have improved greatly. We can’t change the fact that RAF Coningsby is based nearby but the improvements with regards to everything else have proved to be extremely well received.

for £22 per. night you dont expect to be crammed in and have to fight your way out ,driving between guy ropes/caravans/and kids playing football.our cars were hit several times with balls/frisbys.no ball games should be allowed among tents/caravans the toilet block is far from adequate for the amount of caravans/tents that were crammed on for bank holiday they also need to be cleaned more often.the showers were disgusting when you get water from the next showerrunning over your feet because the drains were blocked.and paper allover the floor.found the staff most unhelpfull.NEVER AGAIN>shop had nothing ,may as well be closed..

I am sure by now you know that Tattershall Lakes Holiday Park was taken over by Away Resorts at the end of the season last year. I was sorry to read that prior to this your holiday did not turn out how you quite rightly expected it to be and that you found the former park staff to be unhelpful. I do believe that our Guest Services Team are second to none and that they are more than willing to go that extra mile to ensure our guests have the holiday experience that they deserve. I do hope that you change your mind in the not too distant future and give Away Resorts the chance to show you the improvements we have made.

My husband and I stayed here for one week in June 2007. The "Country Club" is a mixture of caravan park, camping area, and log cabins set around about three lakes. One of the lakes was quite large and some of the guests were water skiing. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom log cabins, which were nestled around one of the smaller lakes. When we arrived the lawn in front of the cabin was packed with geese and other waterfowl, with their chicks. The cabin was comfortably furnished with one large open space incorporating the lounge area, dinning and kitchen, with the bedrooms and bathroom leading off. There was one large bathroom and also a separate WC with washbasin, I believe there was also a small sauna. The veranda at the front of the cabin had a table and four garden chairs, which afforded a lovely place to sit with a cuppa watching the antics of the geese and moorhens. We did not make use of the clubhouse. We were warned that the Park was close to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and there could be an aircraft noise problem. However, we did not find this a problem at all. In fact I was absolutely thrilled to see a Lancaster Bomber and Spitfire flying very low over the Park on the Sunday morning. What a magnificent sight. The Typhoons took off from the local airbase in the morning and landed in the late afternoon. But we found this interesting rather an intrusive. The area is lovely and we particularly liked Lincoln and its wonderful Cathedral. We did a lot of exploring of the local countryside. The cornfields full of poppies were stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our week. But whether this area would be suitable for young children or teenagers is another matter. Certainly not a luxury resort by any stretch of the imagination. The accommodation is three star, at best. A car is essential. And, take as many groceries with you as possible, as we found it difficult to find a local supermarket. If you like magnificent Cathedrals, quaint villages, good pubs, all mixed with history, both ancient and modern, then give this place a go.

Thank you for your kind words regarding Tattershall Lakes Holiday Park. I note that you holidayed with us in 2007 before the park was owned by Away Resorts therefore you did not see the improvements that we undertook following our acquisition of the park. As Away Resorts specialise in family holidays I think you would be impressed to see what we now have to offer.
