The Willows was well situated for exploring the New Forest. The room was clean and the bathroom/shower modern. Beds and bed linen very comfortable. The shower pump meant that there was a loud noise when other guests were showering. On a busy road but no noise from traffic.

Thank you for the review Amanda. We apologise if the shower pumps disturbed you but as The Willows is an old house, this is the only way we can ensure that everyone has a powerful shower.

We had a lovely 2-night stay at this wonderful B&B, hosted by Jackie who also introduced us to her beautiful dogs. The single room was quite adequate with the bonus of it's own small bathroom and was equipped with everything needed for a very comfortable stay.
Breakfasts offered included both cold and hot options with fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, and home made jams and marmalade.
Wishing Jackie and family all the best as they move on to new horizons.

We stayed in a double en-suite for a week in September 2016. From the start with homemade apple cake on arrival, Jackie made us very welcome. The weather perked up ensuring we had a great time touring. Ashurst is ideal for getting around the New Forest after a hearty breakfast each day. Fresh milk is also available for those, like me, who don't particularly like UHT supplies. It's also good running territory with plenty of paths beyond the Happy Cheese to use. Jackie has them mapped out for walks with her dogs. Well done, Jackie - it was sad to say goodbye and drive four hours home.

Stayed here in a double en-suite for three nights at the August Bank Holiday.
Lovely comfortable bed and two chairs to sit in. I find it frustrating when there is nowhere to sit. Good-sized en-suite and powerful shower, although the shower pump is close to the room and so it's possible that someone in another room taking an early shower could result ion waking you up with the noise of the shower pump.
Excellent Wi-Fi.
Lot of traffic on the main road in front of the B&B, but the double-glazing meant that it could hardly be heard when the windows were closed.
Superb breakfast that set us up for the day.
Jacky was an excellent host, but she is selling the house. A great loss to the B&Bs in the New Forest.

Thank you for the lovely review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and was able to use the information available to enjoy our wonderful surroundings. Apologies for the noise of the pump but it is the only way everyone can have a powerful shower.

If you are looking for a short stay or an even longer business home from home then this is the place! I had a lovely single room at the back of the b and b with garden view, So peaceful after a busy day at the office. Jackie was always there to welcome you and whilst came as a guest left as a friend. I would recommend to anyone looking for an excellent quality b and b in this beautiful area. Cost very reasonable too.
