The hosts cannot do enough for you to make your stay memorable , starting with the welcoming pack which contained home made cakes and jam as well as the basic essentials. The grounds which you have full access to enable you to watch wildlife and while we were there an herd of 12 Roe Deer came past us only 20 metres away. The loft is a welcome haven when you come back from a sightseeing day. The property is ideally situated to visit a lot of National Trust properties but there are some fantastic flat walks that you can do locally ( all the relevant walks are detailed in the information pack in the accommodation). We had a fantastic time , even though the weather was bad. I can thoroughly recommend this property for excellent value for money and hosts who really care about you.
Brilliant place to stay. All you need for a self catering holiday plus some homely touches. Lovely cakes and home made bread on arrival. Great place for family holiday
We (me, my husband and 4 and 1 year old), stayed at Oak View Loft from 1st to 8th July. This was our first time in Norfolk and we weren't disappointed.
The location of the accommodation is excellent, 5 minutes to the beach at Sea Palling - stunning - and 5 minutes to the nearest broads - beautiful.
The apartment has everything you could need for a week away. Decorated, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. We coped without a washing machine for a week. There is no bath in the apartment but that wasn't a problem as the shower is a generous double so you can fit the little ones in with you no problem. A bed guard was supplied for our 4 year old and a stair gate for our 1 year old. Our little girl especially loved the My Little Pony collection in the toy cupboard. The grounds surrounding the accommodation are stunning. Every time we walked around the woodland, we were lucky enough to spot deer. On our first night we watched deer, rabbits and pheasants from the apartment whilst the little ones slept.
Marianne and her family are most welcoming. The welcome pack is a lovely touch that was much appreciated. It was lovely to have a chat on the few occasions that we saw each other. Marianne and Johnathon were happy to show our little girl their family pets and were happy for her to play on there children's trampoline, swing and slide.
Our Norfolk adventures took us to Cromer, a Broads Tours trip, Bewilderwood, Norwich, strawberry picking at the farm shop on Wroxham Road, Sutton Staithe Boatyard to hire our own day boat and many trips to the beach at Sea Palling and Happisburgh where there is a fantastic free playground, beautiful lighthouse and we saw a seal. We called at Holkham on Sea on our way home, another stunning beach.
We haven't been back long and are already looking forward to exploring more of Norfolk again next year.
Oak View Loft proved to be an excellent choice to stay for my wife and I during our few days away in Norfolk. Smart, modern loft apartment with good self catering facilities and very friendly/helpful owners. The extensive woodland grounds were a definite bonus and we would gladly return in another visit to the area if only to sample, once again, Marianne K's welcome pack of "goodies".
We loved this place, the loft accommodation is excellent and comfortable, our two small boys loved playing in the garden and exploring the woods, the owners are brilliant and very helpful and even bought a new bed guard to stop our 6 year old rolling off the single bed, which was a lovely gesture and very appreciated.
Definitely recommend and would happily stay again.
Wow! Couldn't have asked for more. Hosts were welcoming, friendly and couldn't be anymore accommodating. Homemade cake, bread, jam on arrival along with milk etc. A wonderful base to explore the area. Lovely walk in the woods on the land. Would definitely go again.
What a Fab place, a credit to the owners. There are vast grounds to explore (we were lucky enough to see Tawny Owls & 3 species of Deer). The welcome pack is a lovely touch with homemade bread & cakes to die for. We'll definitely be returning.
